@@robbiedelrey3924 atleast its a cheap on discogs.lol..I did have this record a long time ago (I collect reggae records), and being a miami vice fan as well..I linked the two up. The voice sound similar, good chance it's the same band on the show.

i dont remember it from the original run of the series, but about 15 or 20 years ago i just happened to flick by this episode on some cable channel late at night. and it was right during this scene and i stopped and finished the episode just to try and figure out who the band had been. and all these years later for some reason i still remember this band and their version of the song.

Just did the exact same thing! Heard the music, took me back to the 80’s. Laura Branigan I think was original artist but Vice cover band did it justice in S1 Episode 8. Fun times!
