Just a tip here it helps to wrap the outer portion of the door panel if you remove the foam from the part that wraps around behind the panel. Just my two cents worth. Thank you for the video.
Nothing better than diy. Quality craftsmanship. Looks awesome.. Great tutorial, video, audio, clarity. Free labor & satisfaction " I built that with my own 2 hands " ( in my kitchen bitches ) = priceless 👍👍
I’m blushing. I appreciate your positivity. Some people see the cup half full and that’s def you. Thanks for your feedback! It does feel good. Not too many people get to know that satisfaction feeing but some do :) and they know
I did with just one. But that’s for a miata door and it’s small... You can’t go wrong with buying more. You can always use the extra for other projects.
Love what you did, if I may, if you would’ve removed the insulation from where you flip over, I believe the door panel will be flushed better against the surface. But that’s my observation, but that looks bad ass bro. I will be doing the same to my semi truck
@@vincentbryan1962 oh NVM got person's confused. 1995 right? If so, the car is still for sale in TX lol. You should see it, completely trashed from the outside
Looks good bro.! It's kinda funny that I have the original black vinyl on my doors and just bought a few feet of gold vinyl to match the Miata "tan" leather seats I have while you had the "tan" and went black. The diamond pattern though is really cool. It's a personality thing. You have chain steering wheel while I installed a good deep dish quick release NRG. Good work man. What size staples you use as I need to get those. I have the spray glue already. I saw one guy replace the back board with some 1/4 inch stuff from Home Depot. He traded it out, jigged sawed and drilled holes for the plastic snaps to hold it on door.
I would have done the job quite a bit differently for a cleaner look, but not a bad job. My only real knit pick here is your speaker set up lol. Why the one two way 6.5 inch speaker and 2 tweeters? Now idk this for sure but I'm gonna assume you have the 2 tweeters connected directly the the 6.5 inch speaker , An the 6.5 inch speaker is running directly to the radio like factory?! No amp, no crossovers right? Just a wild guess... if I'm right than here's a friendly tip. Hooking up all those speakers they way I assume you have them hooked up, your not making them louder. Those 2 extra tweeters are just pulling power from the 6.5 inch speaker so your output power is still the same because your radio only puts out up to 50w max per channel if it's aftermarket radio, if it's a stock radio it's less. So weather you have 1 speaker in that door, or 10 speakers in that door your still only gonna get 50w max. An the speakers are taking power from each other since they all running off one channel. Get yourself an amp and a crossover ..you won't be disappointed I promise! Unless of course the speakers are cheap idk . Oh An that steering wheel lol awesome . Fits that car perfect too!!
I got it off eBay. Search diamond tuck vinyl. Should still be $30 a yard. And I did both my doors with one yard fabric. They take it off so I can’t send a link. They always change the shipper so just look up those key words and you’ll find it
@@vincentbryan1962 got the passenger door prepped, just need to cut the fabric, glue, and trim. Went with this : www.ebay.com/itm/Red-Black-Two-Tone-Embossed-Crocodile-Vinyl-Fabric-BTY-54-55-/282106521448?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
It’s ok it wasn’t my dream car I sold for extra cash so I can get my dream car. Which I’ve been working very hard on for 2 years :) it’s a 62 impala lowrider
That sounds like a good idea. But this spray is really good. Like i had to take it off to trim it then fold it back over.... and the fabric was literally stuck to it. Like it sticks better over time. A lot better than I imagined
Ebay. Diamond tuck foam fabric. They come in different colors. Usually a new person will sell them that’s why I didn’t update the link. Always someone else selling them
Michael Reeves non padded vinyl will stretch better. The cotton padding makes this stuff a little harder to work with. But the end result is nicer. You may have to make trim to hold it against concaved curves. Hot rod companies offer universal chrome trims, or you can get creative with wood or plexi from homedepot.
I spent $30 sir for my doors. But yes 30x 3 is 90 great job. If you actually purchased it instead of making this comment you’d see what all you could actually do with it.
