Hulfanga was one of my favorite prospects out of college. As an Oregon Ducks fan I have seen what he brings to a defense and to a team. He was a hard hitting turnover causing machine at USC. Right from the start… I knew he would be perfect for the Niners. I actually thought Jimmy Ward would move to the SS position and Hulfanga would become the starting FS. I liked Tartt and hated watching him go. However, Tartt was just a hitter. Hulfanga is a hard hitting, play making ball hawk. He has already made his presence known to Niners fans when he saved our season last year. As soon as Tartt dropped our trip to the SB…I knew Hulfanga was taking over. I truly believe that neither Jimmy Ward or Hulfanga would have dropped that easy interception. However, that is over with and we start anew. Hulfanga is another natural leader for SF. He has took the time to develop a different handshake with a bunch of teammates and the little camera lady. He can set the tone or change the direction of the game with his jarring hits as well as his coverage ability. He can effect the game on defense as well as special teams.

I really like Hufanga. He is a character. The close up shots of him hitting the GB players are scary though. The force of two people hitting each other that hard is just crazy.
