Asheville Mica Company is the largest domestic manufacturer of Mica Splittings Plate and we ship worldwide. We manufacture both Cold flexible Moldable plate and Hot Moldable plate to the highest standard.
Cold flexible mica splittings plate is produced to NEMA 6 and NEMA 86 standards. NEMA 6 is bonded with Polyester resin, and NEMA 86 with a Silicone resin. Applications include dry type transformer phase insulation, coil wrappers and slot liners.
Hot Molded Mica plate can be molded with the application of heat for applications including V-rings for DC motors applications, angle channels and coil forms, commutators and many other uses
