The botched tripping call extended the game. Cowboys safety Donovan Wilson intercepted Jared Goff with 2 minutes 5 seconds remaining, and on first-and-10 from the Detroit 29, Tony Pollard ran for 7 yards. Officials, however, flagged tight end Peyton Hendershot for tripping. The 15-yard penalty backed up the Cowboys to the Detroit 44. Replay, though, clearly showed it was Lions edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson who tried to trip Hendershot. The penalty should have been on the Lions.
There was many missed calls on both sides. Tyron Smith got away with a hold 15-20 times including on the 90+ yard TD and the 2 PA calls missed on the 4th and goal drive. A missed call and a flag for a penalty that didn’t exist on the final play of the game is different. Refs fkd up no doubt and the lions got screwed but Either way I agree with MP only thing you can do is move on. The cowboys were not at fault so they didn’t deserve to lose as much as Detroit deserved to win. Great game by both defenses. I can’t sit for a rematch in the playoffs. Go Lions
Man yall want to be in people business too much . Let him speak on whatever he wants damn . Good or bad he could talk all that he’s really like that. Just cuz Dallas don’t make it far like usual don’t mean parsons is ass
Lions fan here. Much respect for Micah Parsons. Of course he’s going to see it this way. Dan Skipper and Taylor Decker see it differently. It’s over. If it were the other way around Cowboys players and fans would be just as upset. Cowboys fans can’t possibly relate to Lions fans because of all the lore of the Dallas franchise. Lions fans have known nothing but disappointment for a long time. 67 years. Goff took the high road in the press conferences as did all the other Lions and coaches. Let’s move on. I’m hoping the Lions get to meet Dallas again in 2 weeks.
he attempted to but never connected. so its void. But i do agree that with your nutty kicker, that yall possibly and coulda won the game fairly. Refs definitly couldnt allow a Cowgirls to lose when Jimmy and Jerry were in the building. Exciting game but cmon. Lions won that game.
Lamar is MVP because his defense is historic? That’s fucking the exact opposite of what MVP means. Dak wins IN SPITE of his defense throwing away all his game winning drives. He’s the most valuable player right now.
Micah even if you were an Eagle, I still might like you most. But playing for the Cowboys it's a no brainer for me this young man is the top stud on the defensive side of the ball plus an absolutely great person to boot! We are so lucky to have landed you a few years back. Happy New Year ahead and Go Cowboys!!!
The defense played to what the ref called out ... what else can they do. The entire Lions team, specifically #70, #68, and the coaches, heard #70 announced and did nothing -- that's on them. Correct flag by the ref who also only knew what was announced. No one covered 68 because no one in the defense knew he was eligible. Do they still score if they report 68 as eligible and someone actually covers him?
First. Im a die hard lions fan. It was messed up that the refs screwed that up so bad, but the lions couldn't do anything about it anyway. They were out of timeouts. Props to the Cowboys for playing a great game. Shifty calls both ways, but in the end the cowboys did enough to overcome the bad calls and win the game.
I am a Dolphins fan but Micah you are a hell of a player and a class act. As for that last play I even said if the Cowboys knew he was eligible you would have covered him. If the refs made a mistake that's on them but had nothing to do with what you guys accomplished.
This late in season…overtime sucks, harder on body, more chance for injuries. Campbell probably thought Get in, get out. As you stated, they have their division on lock. If it weren’t for that missed tripping call at 2:00 left, game wouldn’t been closed out by the O, and Detroit wouldn’t have had time to get down the field to even try to score a TD. You guys closed it out! Great job! Micah, we want you and the rest of the Cowboys to bring us another championship!
Man the way, are you talking about all these teams and how good they are and how they’re getting momentum at the right time I wish you could say that about your team but y’all been slacking majorly specially the defense
“Every top team they have elite linebacker play”….coming from the guy who wants little to do with being a LB and just wants to be a rusher KNOWING we don’t have LVE, and Clark and Bell could use his help. Ok
Well after all the fiasco 68 was never declared as eligible on the field of play. For me the curse was only about Jimmy being in his rightful place in the ROH. That’s a dark cloud that has finally passed over the franchise. When you can put something to rest it no longer lingers & you don’t have to speak on it anymore. I believe in this team. Feels like 1991 when Cowboys were underdogs to SF and walked out of candlestick with a W. Cowboys the reason Young and Rice only got 1 SB after Joe Cool.
Man. I feel like the bad call overshadows a phenomenal game. Probably one of the best lions/cowboys matchups I've ever seen. The refs botched it 100%. But what's done is done, the cowboys were able to overcome and the lions weren't. No worries, we'll be back. Oh. And tell me about being cursed. Look up the lions curse of Bobby Lane. He was a QB from Dallas that took the lions to their last championship. After they traded him, he said you won't win for 50 years...and we haven't. Sometimes I actually wonder if it's true. 😅
That's not even the reason why they loss The reason why they loss is because they had multiple times where they could have kicked the field goal instead of going for it and not converting Even with the penalty on the 2 pt , they still had 2 more chances to go in to overtime but they chose to go for it The lions beat their selves
It sucks it went down that way. Again, Lions fan here, but we want to win clean, and I'm sure you want to win clean. This is just a scar on a great game.
@@Toolness1 so was the jack campbell missed holding call 2 feet infront of prescott that would've led to a safety and our ball and the ceedee td would've never happened :)
@Toolness1 yeah. That was an awful call. In all honesty, there shouldn't have been a tripping call at all since nobody was actually tripped, even though Hutch clearly tried. The no PI call on St. Brown and the no hold call on Campbell on the long TD would have been game changers too. There was an defensive offsides missed on Daks INT too. Those refs really need to be dealt with because it leaves us all questioning how it should have gone down. Mad respect for the Cowboys though. Dak is playing MVP ball right now.
If he can take a break from pulling AR15's on other drivers over parking space disputes and sending death threats to his ex girlfriends.....maybe he can contribute.
I literally tweeted that seconds after the game ended Mic. On the first two minutes of this video when you talked about the end of the Detroit game…. I don’t know why Detroit was trying to be slick, because they have to report to our defense who’s eligible. Not to mention the tripping call…Detroit lost.
Micah don't know if you read the comments but if the refs didn't throw the flag on the tripping call when the Dallas offense was on the field in the last 2 minutes, the defense wouldn't have been on the field. The tripping should have been called on Detroits' defense. At that point, the Dallas offense would have been able to run the clock out! Why aren't the analysts talking about that on all the sports talk shows? None of the analysts should be saying Dallas stole the game when the refs made a bad call to get to the point of making another bad call. They should be saying that there was no controversy and the Dallas win was without a doubt legit! Instead, we have the negative talk about cheating Detroit and stealing the game from them.
M. Parsons is a BEAST!!! I’m very happy to call him a Cowboy!!! Although I’m thinking he needs to play mlb in the playoffs and spy runners/running qb’s!?! P. S. please tell coach to stop with the standback defense bullshizzz!!!!!!! Press them guys on every play and impose your will on them to break their spirits!!! Either way, #11 is my favorite player, but #4, #88, #26, #28, #6, #1, #87, #97, #90 and upincomer #14 are all balling BIGTIME!;)
I am a Blue fan and its going to be one hell of a game! I think Penix balls and i think our defense plays well...I think Mccarthy plays well we win he doesn't they win!
But Micah we win that game right after the 7yrd gain by Tony with 2min left when the refs called the wrong player for tripping. If the ref called Hutchinson who actually did the tripping then game over.
I stayed away from the media i hat plays like that but out of 100 miss calls people pick one or two calls and roll with that as a fan of the team that loses it sucks but lions shouldn't let it have come down to that as far as the none fans you say we bring up are super bowls but yall say 29 years when cd micca were not evan Born yet or everyone on the team was under 10 what has been are recorded seince Mike and dan started coaching 3 straight years of 10plus wins 1-3 in the post season not good not horrible we going to see what happens i hope micca and bland get back to what they was doing in the earlyer part of the year its all about who gets hot at the right time im so happy we control our own desetny for ,2 home games we played close to a whole season of games at home with being undefeated that has to be a record
hahah- if it wasnt for that " little drought period" where CeeDee didnt have any catches, he woulda had the record. Thats exactly why he does not have the record.
The game where the Packers made the Cowgirls their bitch..CeeDee should have caught that sidelines 🤔 pass from Trashcott 🗑️ 🏈...its obvious they had some personal going on between them
MROD here dishing out the PENULTIMATE comment before i check out of hotel NFL until next season lol. Of course Micah fine with the way he sees the end of this game but Dan Campbell Rambo Football left 4 points of the board so this loss on the Lions! 😂😂😂😂😂
MICAH PARSONS WHAT QUARTERBACK DAK RAYNE DAKOTA MV-PRESCOTT DC4L SAGINAW MICHIGAN, DAK HAS HAD A PHENOMENAL YEAR HIMSELF HE SHOULD BE IN THE MVP TALKS. FIRST AND FAR MOST.
Cowboys aren't trying to trip people so if the refs didn't call a penalty on the wrong person that Detroit td at the end wouldn't have happened in the first place
WELL MICAH PARSONS, YOU CHOSE THE WRONG TEAM BRO. YOU ARE ONE OF MY FAVORITE COWBOYS, BUT WOLVERINES 4LIFE GO BLUE WE 💙💛💙💛 GOT THIS COVERED, WASHINGTON HAS NOTHING COMING. JUST LIKE MY COWBOYS DC4L WE GOT THIS WE DEM BOYS, HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS, AND HERE WE GO, SUPERBOWL BOUND BABE, DC4L SAGINAW MICHIGAN
Just gotta move forward. Already been to much controversy in Dallas the last few years. Injury to Dak,Gal,And Pollard was tuff. The Cowboys are slowly getting back to the direction of being winners. A few good draft picks and trades will lead them to many SB. Also gotta structure contracts for the star players. Lamb and Dak are gonna get that bag.
@@joshobrien7513 yeah we haven't gotten to the SB in a LONG time but to say Dallas are not winners is just delusional. Dallas has won A LOT of games. It's a season as a whole and yes the ultimate GOAL is the SB but WINNING SEASONS ARE WINNING SEASONS!.....BTW who's your team ** you'll probably just pick a recent SB winner *** and lastly you're nothing but a F'ING HATER!!
I still think you all should have a players meeting to make sure everybody is locked in. Bring some of those former Superbowl players back to reference what's at stake and the mindset you need to have going forward.
That's exactly what happened, the Detroit Lions coaching staff attempted to Shadow and confuse the Dallas Cowboys by sending three offensive lineman in the general area of the official in the attempts to, shall we say, camouflage their trick play. Whatever coach suggested the other two players to roam the range by the official at this time should be docked a day's pay or horse whipped whichever the Detroit Lions fans prefer. We cannot blame the official if he did not in all good conscience hear the player check in as an eligible receiver and it doesn't matter if the head coach informs the officiating crew with the trick play prior to the game. The rule is the rule, and you have to check in and announce yourself as eligible receiver when it requires you to do so. The best way to avoid this is simply having the one offensive lineman announced he is an ineligible number lining up in an eligible receiver position and utilizing the CAC method of communication convey, acknowledge, and confirm The player conveys his intention and should have waited for the acknowledgment by the referee, and obviously, he did not receive it and at that time should have repeated that he was checking in as an eligible receiver.
I was sat right over the endzone that the end of the game happened. shit was absolutely crazy. it was my birthday too, so even though it was a controversial W Im still glad that we got it.
That flukey cee dee fumble for no td was the reason i felt it was as close at end. Thats two weeks we lost point at the goaline gotta take care of the ball all times
At the end of the day we still undefeated at home this season yes we need to enforce plays that can stop the run..but as far as the call the refs made a call it's over with let's move on DC4LIFE 🏈
Yo, that Hendershot penalty should’ve placed Dallas inside the 7…going against a defense ranked 28th in the red zone; my bet is Dallas scores and the two-point conversion would’ve never happened…should be blaming this whole matter based on that foul.
PLEASE DONT DO THE PODCAST WHEN THE PLAYOFFS START DELETE ALL YOUR SOCIALS UNTIL PLAYOFFS ARE OVER LOCK IN ONLY OPINION THAT MATTERS FOR THE NEXT COUPLE WEEKS IS YOUR BROTHERS IN YHE LOCKER ROOM AND YOUR COACHES
The way you shut down critics is prove it on the field every week, regardless of where you play, that's what you have to do lion...prove your greatness on the field, that's what "Cowboys" must do...seize the moment, "Carpe omnia"...we have to take it...."Here we Gooooo".
