Michael Armstrong is a British singer/songwriter/musician.
Video filmed and produced by Mirko Zandarin (except The Cavern clips shot by Ayse Balko)
Locations: Kingswood, Surrey and at album preview performances at Gallery Different, London & The Cavern Club, Liverpool.
Taken from the debut album 'Michael Armstrong' this is a very different cover version of the Billy Joel classic 'Allentown'. The track features Michael Armstrong on vocals and playing all the instruments, with the exception of the strings which were arrange and performed by Simon Lockyer. The track was recorded at Tangled Blue Studios and was produced by Keith Bessey & Michael Armstrong.

I have played this myself for years, never with this feeling. This is hands down the most gorgeous version I have heard. This guy squeezed every drop of juice out of the song. Michael Armstrong, this is a musical triple off the wall. His phrasing is so, so good. Great comp. Great vocal.

This guy is such a HUGE talent.. his version of 'Allentown' is totally awesome. Here starts the campaign to get behind this guy and get the word out. I have been playing this track out on my Drivetime show in Wales, for weeks on end, as well as the first single release 'The Radio Years' ...Look, quite simply, Michael Armstrong's music is as good, if not better than the majority of what gets into the UK charts..Get on it and support a fantastic artist.. be on the bandwagon first!!! Andy B

Unbelievable. While I hold the original in high regard, this dynamic interpretation is off the charts. The string arrangement is stunning and contrasts so beautifully against your expressive vocals. The best cover of this classic I've ever heard. Bravo.

I came to see you (T'Pau) perform at East Grinstead's Chequer Mead. You were great. Michael Armstrong was your support act. I would like to see both Carol decker and Michael Armstrong performing again. This is a great cover of Billy Joel's song.
