Actor Michael B. Jordan sits down with Ebro in the Morning for a great conversation surrounding the growth of his career, projects he is working on, and the preparation for his success today.
He discusses what you can expect in 'Creed III', directing and producing on the film, carrying the legacy of the franchise, and taking this part of the series to the next level. He also addresses why Sylvester Stallone who famously plays Rocky is not on the film.
Jordan also discusses how important 'Black Panther' and 'Wakanda Forever' were for not only the franchise but movies heavily involving Black actors and Black stories as well, and the tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman.
The New Jersey native also discussed topics such as giving back to the city of Newark, and working on the script for the anticipated 'I Am Legend 2' sequel with Will Smith.
'Creed III' is out on theaters Friday, March 3!

He seems like a real humble, stand-up guy. I honestly think the whole "corny" label was given to him because black women saw that he dated white women and assumed he was not interested in them. Given his high school background of being called corny, he probably didn't get attention from black women and just dated whoever was into him. That's how it usually works with us non-famous dudes. You shoot your shot, if you get rejected keep it moving. The corniest thing he has done was wanting to go all the way with Lori Harvey. She is a serial dater, which is fine. But it was his L for not seeing that. Also, I found it crazy how many women were criticizing him for "trying to tie her down". Don't most women want to get married?

This whole franchise is Stallone's baby he's not part of it because of his nasty fallout with Irwin Winkler over the rights of the entire franchise... He said he's cool with Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler and would have done a cameo or something... but his fight with Irwin Winkler made him step away from his franchise he created... I’ll never forget seeing him at ruby Tuesdays on 22 in Union NJ…he was just starting and his mom was kind enough to talk to my mom about how he got his start. He was discovered at his moms Drs office when someone asked about him. Just goes to show when you have a calling God will place you at the right place…we crossed paths so prove years later what is possible if you believe. 🙏

Hollywood saw this as an opportunity to use the Rocky series ie now Creed as a way to forward their sneaky agendas. They need to keep an influential celebrity relevant, and MBJ is a perfect fit, along with Majors. Role models need to be our fathers, not actors. There's always an agenda though.
