I recently lost my son to cancer. He was only 40. The hole in my heart is huge and yes each time I listen to this song, I cry my eyes out. But the lyrics are exactly what a father feels and thinks.

My son will be 1 month old tomorrow. My husband and I struggled with infertility for 11 years and went through several rounds of IVF before our little one was born. He came early and spent his first week in NICU. Thank God, he is doing so great now! If you're a parent, be thankful for your kids and give them the best of yourself. When I had my daughter I sang "I Saw God Today" to her only seconds after she was born, they were still stitching me back together. I'm due with my son in January 2023 and I've been looking everywhere for a song to sing to him when he's born. Every song either seems to be about a boy being all grown up or falling in love and the songs that aren't all seem to be about daughters. Hearing this song, I know it's the song I will sing to him. It doesn't focus on getting/being older, just the promise of loving my baby forever. It's perfect. Such a beautiful song. 💕

I’m a college senior, and recently I had a really challenging week between work and school. I went to see my momma for some much needed loving and after having dinner with her, I felt an impulse to put this on for the drive home. As I was listening, I just broke down in tears; both a happy and sad cry. Sad because of a really challenging week but with a silver lining that included a happy cry for getting to see my momma. Just thinking about this song had me tearing up a bit. It helped me to realize that no matter of how crappy my week had been going, I could stand up and keep going strong because I have a dedicated mother who taught me to never back down, even when it seems like I can’t.

This song saved me from sadness. 10 months ago when it released , I have a lot of problems and I really didn't know how to manage it. Every night I go out to walk alone to prevent myself from hurting myself. One night I felt that i can't take it anymore , I'm already breaking down to pieces. I decided to open the youtube app hoping that a video or a song can help me, suddenly this song was uploaded 2 minutes ago at that time. I clicked it without even thinking, I'm reading the comments and i found out that this song is about a father/parent that is singing for his son.
