Just Awesome... I needed that video 16 Years ago... I wasn't able to handle it... After a long time of not playing I'm trying again. Thanks for this perfect explanation. R.I.P.
Used GT8 for twelve years - never any problems - all the 500 knobs and whistles work 100% and still feels like quality product in every way. The sounds are great from clean to rock. Few hard rock presets are also really great, like 5150 LEAD. There is so much to tweak, that it’s insane. Around 2008 this cost 550 euros, I’m very happy with the price tag that small.
Lorenzo Lawrence I think the memory is on such, which does not require battery, e.g. EEPROM. Just bought a second GT8; that came out as huge success! Now I can loop GT8 with GT8, or run two different sets on different speakers, or just on stereo headphones.
My gt8, which dare i say is almost brand new has been sat in the attic for a several years unloved, due to this great video in the next ten minutes it is now coming out to play
I am an experienced player who has owned this unit since 2007 and I must say I learned some cool stuff here that I'm going to tinker with. I like your approach. The GT-8 is still a very viable and usable tool IMHO.
@@CHAPI929292 I've never used the ME-80. So I can't really say. I would think that if it has the features you want it will most likely do the job. Most of the Boss stuff is good in my experience.
@Skromny Tomasz I don't have any I.R.'s yet. But I have used it many times into an fx return on several different amps with very good results. Something I recently discovered for going direct (if you don't have an I.R. like myself) is to roll all the treble and bass off the custom speaker setting. It sounds much more like a cabinet, more natural I.M.H.O.
@Skromny Tomasz Have you tried rolling the high's back and turning the lows up on the O.D. module? It tends to fatten up the sound and make it sound closer to my Boss SD-1. I've managed to get some decent results, especially when placing it before either an amp model in the GT-8 or an actual amp (5 able method) that is set to a nice rhythm crunch.
