@@angelmaria6619 they must and one month after you wrote this comment Anthony K. announced it on his Insta! I'm exited, but I know he's gonna choose Rahim, so I'm a little mad, lol!🤣😂❤️
I love Michael He's so incredibly comfortable in his own skin and takes every opportunity to promote the importance of LGBTQ story telling. I appreciate the sense of responsibility. He's a very good dude.
I just like see season 1 yesterday and I can't wait already..I fee sorry and sad for some people who already watch since 2020 and are patiently waiting for tommorow
Coming out is so important for so many reasons for society to know all of the types of gay people and some are people they love and also for that person to live their truth!
I hope they have MORE gay students (or friends from the malls) come out / get advice from Victor/Benji for coming out or just hanging around. C'mon, everyone knows there's more than just a couple of gays in every high school.
Great interview. I have some questions I'd love to ask them about season 1 (haven't watched season 2 yet, of course). For one, I'd love to know how they feel about the musical tributes that have been made to Victor and Benji on youtube, some of which have millions of views. Some shots have become iconic--like the one I'll call the "Benji hair flip". Was that planned, or was it just a lucky improv shot? These two young actors both have great screen presence and interesting, meaningful, thoughtful things to say. Only 4 more days til season 2! Can't wait.
So many stories to tell. Indeed Michael! The realities of relationships - get so much more complex without role models because how can we try and emulate straight relations if those seem to be so stuffed up too! So, who do we turn to for guidance and role models? Let me not even start with all the layers within the gay community and rejection etc within the circle
Why is there *only 10* episodes per season for this show? Most series usually have between 20-24 episodes per season. I know this is popular enough to make that many episodes and I'm pretty sure there's enough corporate advertising support *because this series is so popular.*
It is totally annoying that British actors have to immitate a US accent in order to....what precisely? Cannot he just be an exchange student? I mean, speaking about authenticity and being original, right? I just don't get it.
@@jeanlouispvt1522 Making him an exchange student would complicate things for the future. Making him a first gen British immigrant would like require unnecessary back story in a series where episodes are only 30 mins long.
I was secretly hoping Felix was going to 'hook up' with Victor as boyfriends --- they have the best bromance and they could easily have Felix as bisexual (at the least).
I thought the same when I saw Neil, a gay man, playing the heterosexual character Barney. "didn't there be any heterosexual guy to play a heterosexual character?". I made a stupid comment like yours so you don't feel alone.
@@victoralmeida479 it’s because lgbtq representation is already so scarce on tv. being straight is seen as normal in society and being gay isn’t, so now that being gay is finally being acknowledged, it’s better to have actors that legitimately are gay bc representation and bc people in the entertainment industry are being discriminated against bc they’re gay. your comment just isn’t a fair analogy and doesn’t make sense lmao
@@victoralmeida479 lol if you can’t see how that’s not the same thing, then idk what to tell ya. What you just did is called a straw man fallacy, or a false equivalency. Look it up 👍
Yes, I would be good for representation, but also it's super cool how straight actors have come so far that portraying mlm or wlm relationships is no longer weird, being a strong ally just part of the job
Such a touchy subject though. Requiring actors this young to be out of the closet to get a role isn't really the right thing to do. I think Michael was 19 when he was casted and George was 21. Public figures hardly ever feel comfortable coming out to the world at that age. They say they are straight, and I think it's tremendous to see straight men this young have such strong allyship with the LGBT community.
