The reason Sharma was not coming out because Micheal Clarke made a deal of 100 Aussie bucks to Umpire Mark Benson(Corrupt ASS) for RP Singh leg before, Sharma figured out that's why he was not coming out
Jaspreet Dahelay You don't let the truth stand in the way of a good story, I'll grant you that. The Indians are the experts when it comes to corruption. Just look at the number of them caught for fixing cricket matches. Not to mention the bent IPL competition.
Isn't it funny how the Indians claim Australia cheated in this match, but all we see is India cheating by time wasting to knock down the time. I'm sure Inshant Sharma went out there with 2 right hand gloves intentionally. "Only one team was playing with the Spirit of Cricket today", Yeah, It wasn't India
India cheated but they always do, they are so powerful in terms of the politics of world cricket they can do whatever they want pretty much, really sad tbh!
Just sitting back watching the footage and I am amazed that sharma wasn't timed out on the day, took him a hell of a long time to come out and face his first ball
All three batsmen hung around after being given out. Throw in time wasting and you'll get an idea of why I loathe the Indian cricket team. Has never won in Australia and I can't see them ever doing so. They are terrible outside of the subcontinent/concrete pitches. Australia has won 7 series in India, India have won 0 in Australia.
Harbhajan didn't really hang around, he just turned and grumbled as he walked away. He glanced at the umpire, but probably just to see if he said no-ball. I'm not defending Harbhajan, I think he's a dick, but I just wanted to point out that he didn't really stand his ground.
Aviral Ashok We won there in 2004. When was the last time you won here in Australia? Btw... home track bullies? India hasn't won a test outside India in 17 test matches (pathetic stat). We won one a week ago against the #1 team in the world. EDIT: Make that a 2-1 series against the world #1 in their own country.
Are you guys still mad about this loss? So what if you got some bad decisions, you don't see us whining about some of the umpiring decisions we got in India.
Well hayden want to play boxing with Sharma in radio interview, Sharma could easy crush him . Hayden can definitely play boxing with grade 12 school kids
Jaspreet Dahelay How would you know, you fucking idiot ? The water was never tested. Although, with Hayden having a 19 kg weight advantage, Sharma would definitely have his work cut out. Zaheer Khan would be a more even match for Sharma, the camel. It's clear who the superior cricketer was though. Hayden having averaged 50.7 as a test opening batsman, whilst Sharma has a test bowling average of 37.85.
India always trying to bend the rules of the game and have little sportsmanship, i wonder why they don't use the drs then complain about decisions that could have gone their way... smart
+Valentino Woszczalski It's because if they have DRS, they'll have to start blaming the Team, pitch or the preparation like every other Captain if they lose.
can you believe that the Indian captain.....accused the Aussies of being un-sportsman like in how long before they shook the hands of the 2 last Indian batsmen out old the field.......infact he walked of the ground early like a spoiled girl Bloody disgrace the Indian team that summer here.........some of the worst bullying and down right contempt by the Indians.....and gutlessness by Cricket Australia.
I think u gave Money to umpires for such conspiracy. 4 times not out Andrew Symonds and then Dravid, Gsnguly given out on wrong decisions. U re just blind
Mr X so is the tour coming up not going to have full UDRS? I just saw your comment is recent... EDIT - Shit I just saw all your bad mouthing! 06:49 16 in a row twice #ouch 😎
+Thomas Spielvogel Mark Nicholas would've been like: "Not yet has Australia won. Not yet. Still plenty more to go." It was an Australian moment, glad a good Australian commentator was commentating.
A great test match underdone by the racism thing and umpiring, wud v been one of the all time great tests, losing wasn't a big deal, but no one came out looking better after this test, that sort of a match this was
After this match, Anil.Kumble said "Only one team was playing with the spirit of the game". In the 1st innings Andrew Symonds was given 4 times not out. This was one of the most cheated victory for Australia. Bit, Indians have a big heary. They let it go
And Harbajhan Singh racially abused Andrew Symonds and got away with it because the Indians threw a big fucking temper tantrum like 2 year olds so you can fuck right off with that thanks.
Superb bowling by Clarke. What stumped Harbhajan and R.P., did not have the same effect against Ishant because he was stable on the backfoot. So Clarke tossed it up and lo and behold. Btw, I am an Indian. And there are a billion of us, 35% of whom have an internet connection, half of whom take cricket so seriously that they have no problem abusing others anonymously. So, Aussies, don't generalize. If an Indian is not making sense, he is a blind follower so just ignore him. Cheers. :)
As much as a cheater Ricky Ponting may have been, he has been one of the best captains in cricket for a long time. Played for his country, and played attacking cricket.
Everyone is busy hating Ishant Sharma for wasting time. They clearly do not know what happened in the match before. This is the match where victory or at least the chance to draw the match was stolen from India. Ponting got second life in his innings and even Symonds got out three times, while the likes of Ganguly and Dravid were wrongly given out, thanks to manipulative cheating Aus players. source: SHAMEFUL UMPIRING IN INDIA-AUSTRALIA SYDNEY TEST- 2008 Ignore the comments, just watch the footage from match. I am not blaming all of them, Aus has some great cricketers who deserve respect, but only the few who were nothing less than bullies to not only the players but also the umpires in the match. Hate all you want, deny it all you want, doesn't change anything that happened. I remember the criticism those few Aus players got from cricket veterans all over the world.
This is the match where Harbajhan Singh RACIALLY ABUSED Andrew Symonds and GOT AWAY WITH IT because the Indians threw a giant fucking temper tantrum a 2 year old would be ashamed of, so you can fuck right off mate.
Kumble had to watch his team fuck all the shit up at the other end, would've sucked. Also, how is I Sharma still getting a gig? He wouldnt be good enough for u12 hard wicket comp.
+Jack Erickson I think you were on to something there Jack. Inshant Sharma is the SLOWEST Frontline bowler to claim 200 Test Wickets (In 65 Tests)! He's only behind Kallis (66) and Flintoff (69) for the all time slowest.
Hmm yeh it is unclear in this video. But I assume it's out, as the ball was near nothing else, besides the bat; and the ball went to the right hand of 1st slip. I would like to see a replay though.
Gughanesh kumar, by the way just google: carlyle walles - that bloke is a genius! Maybe then you might change your mind! the only reason i respect you is because you are a Sri Lankan! As a Burgher, we got kicked out of Motherland Lanka - however, i will fight to defend Sri Lanka's integrity and honesty in the Cricketing sense. Have a good day. remember, if i am speaking crap - i will be SUED!
YOU ARE A DECENT BLOKE - THE ONLY GUY TO RESPECT ANOTHER PERSON'S OPINION. THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE SPEECH IN THE WEST - IF I AM NOT SPEAKING THE TRUTH - THEN I WILL BE SUED FOR ALL THAT I GOT. SO FAR, NOTHING HAS HAPPENED - IM STILL WAITING. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT ""WE ARE INNOCENT - UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY". BUT JUST FOR THE RECORD, GOOGLE: carlyle walles, that guy is a legend!. ALL THE BEST TO YOU AND YOUR BLESSED FAMILY!
Have read a number of your posts and... Dude, are you racist? Think about that reasonably hard. Not having a go at you, mind. Umpires/refs are not universally out to spoil the game, nor is every Aussie cricketer a cheat. Also find it strange that you constantly accuse Aussie/white cricketers and administrators of racism/cheating, without raising all perspectives (e.g. Malik, Asif and Amir). Not looking to incite you, just trying to rationalise your perspectives.
I'd like to appeal to some staunchly one-eyed fans from both sides( and they are seemingly very large in number) here to refrain from spewing shit at each other, and rather try to enjoy and savour the dramatic finish to this test match, no matter how highly skewed it was in favour of one particular team( much largely due to umpiring faults, which tbh seemed pretty deliberate at times).......
That doesn't say anything about standard of living, or the development. Aus is 2nd on the Human development Index and Holl. is 3rd. India is 134th! That means that there are loads of countries are more developed than Ind. In Holl. and Aus the literacy rate is more than 95%. In Ind it is between 50% and 69%. In Ind the suicide rate is way higher and the GNP per capita much lower. Also, in the democracy index, Holland and Aus are a full democracy and Ind a flawed one, so which country's better?
@snyperdoc1 Absolutely. Those countries in the 18th century were indeed arsewiping nations for the majority of the population. Which is why so many people left to make better lives for themselves in what was to become Australia. And the thing that hasn't changed in over 200 years is that people still leave arsewiping countries to make better lives here. And we are all the better for them coming.
@capna100 Oh, Australia is the most successful team in Test cricket, in terms of both wins and win percentage, so I have plenty of experience enjoying my nation's victories. I don't have to wait for us to win a Test Match against a team of tossers. We've done that plenty of times already without looking like a bunch of dago soccer players. Ever see Dennis Lillee and Rod Marsh holding hands with the Chapells and Jeff Thompson and jumping up and down? Pulease, get a grip.
@HafeezOsma I'm not, but some of my ancestors may have been. And in less that 250 years, we've turned an uninhabited contintent from a primitive penal colony into a free, democratic and dynamic society, the envy of the world. Not to mention a sporting nation which routinely beats countries with populations many times ours. But the main thing is that we continue to be a haven for Guptas escaping arse-wiping places all over the world. THAT's the thing which makes us truly great.
@akasports1 2001. best....series.....ever. Aussies don't whinge about 2001, we say well done India on an amazing comeback. I'm not sure you'll get that sort of spirit again between the countries. Nobody in Australia knows why Indian students started getting bashed. It started after this series, that's all I'm saying. The other socioeconomic issues had been there for years, it was the cricket that turned things nasty. I'm fed up with this unsporting nation of sooks. NO I DON"T WANT CHEAPER CALLS!
I was there that day. A mate who I lived with and I had the day off, we'd worked all night the night before and we were looking for something to do. So we ambled up from Darlo, bought a ticket, and brought some hash cookies in with us. The day was looking like it was going to be a pointless draw, so we at some just before tea for shits and giggles. I honestly cannot remember any of this happening. Good times.
@rishtubeu appealing isn't cheating...not walking isn't cheating...there's 2 guys out there in white coats who's job it is to decide who goes and who doesn't, it's not up to the players. An example of cheating would be Rahul Dravid rubbing cough lollies directly onto a ball in a one day game, or Sachin Tendulkar being found guilty of ball tampering...shortly before the Indian Cricket Board tried banning the match referee who made that decision, because Indians are nothing if not sore losers.
@divsaz1 Absolutely. I have no doubt that we will struggle to win series' going forward as we lose stars like Hussey and Ponting, but we are doing ourselves no favours by playing Bollinger. Absolute flog. I think there is too much of a NSW focus, just look at the side currently taking on Sri Lanka. Hughes (NSW) Watson (NSW) Marsh (WA) Clarke (NSW) Hussey (WA) Khawaja (NSW) Haddin (NSW) Johnson (WA) Lyon (SA) Copeland (NSW) Harris (SA) Really, 6 out of 11 are NSW. Our selection is a joke.
RP Singh is just sour cause he played the ball with his pad instead of his bat. choked hard, and therefore made it looks as if he got a bad decision to cover up his choke and complete lack of batting skill. And then Sharma stands around like a deer in headlights when he's clearly out. brainless cricket from the Indians.
When it comes to the Sub Continent, Australia and Pakistan have always shared a more fruitful relationship. I've seen nothing that changes that. There may be differences in religion, but that's all. In cricket, both teams always hope the other does well. When it comes to India, both teams wish the other team hell.
@pageois I have the funny feeling you are a troll, but I shall feed you none the less... YES I CAN. if the wallabies were down and out, and scored a try in the last minute of the game to win a match, there is no doubt they would celebrate in such a way. this response isn't an Australian or MANLY response as you commonly like to bring up , IT IS A HUMAN RESPONSE!
@pageois Two things. One, RP was NOT the victim of a very bad decision, hawk-eye showed it hitting the bails. If the DRS was in place for this test it would have been adjudged out. Second, you have obviously never played cricket, because when a miracle like that occurs all the emotion and stress is released. Un-Australian, un-manly, PLEASE!
Two things. One, RP Singh was the victim of a very bad decison. Tough luck RP. Second, I'm not happy about the Australians hugging and jumping up and down in unison. A totally un-Australian and unmanly response. More in keeping with dago soccer players than Australian men. Fortunately, it lasted but a few moments.
I love how everyone is claiming Australia is cheated this match. But, did you know, India cheated too? Just look at I.Sharma's attempt to waste time (i.e cheating) in this video. I'll say this to Indian supporters, have a close look at your own team, BEFORE you accuse others of cheating.
Despite the joy of beating India so late in the day one thing always bothered me about this over: The last dismissal, Sharma stood his ground and maybe had good reason to. Is it bat pad? Because it's not an outside edge that's for sure. Never saw a replay of it.
whatever the whining about the three wickets...australia deserved to win this. india were playing for a draw. personally i cant stand test cricket when it comes down to playing for no result. its the single thing wrong with the game and the reason it doesnt get general public acceptance.
Bit of an obvious dirty trick from the Indians, ah, the old "accidentally going out to bat with 2 right gloves when there's 25 minutes left to play and only one wicket remaining" trick... Come on India, at least be a little bit subtle with your gamesmanship...
I always believed that 'freedom of speech' is something most Westerners can take for granted - but only in the context of not speaking bad about 'Westerners'.. Have a good 2013, for whatever you did not throw any insults like the rest of the others! Just google: carlyle walles - that guy is a legend!
Over celebrated? We won a test match that was headed for a draw by taking 3 wickets in a single over at the end of day 5 and in the process matched the all time record for consecutive test wins. There's no such thing as over celebrating in that scenario, Kumble needs to pull his head out of his arse
No one remember the test series between two countries, there are many series which comes and goes, but winning a world cup (under 19 or senior level) is a memorable achievement, you became the champions for 4years, every time you play, you are being called world champions. So just accept the fact.
Vb series? You mean about 8 years ago? I'm talking about the 2011/2012 commonwealth series. India got absolutely smashed. Congratulations you won one test. Oh and you're completely wrong about the tests. Australia won every single test. You guys played awful, and tendulkar sucks
I love the hate against us aussies, i have nothing against anyone yet on here theres non-stop people hating on us, such Hypocrits, not saying everyone on here is BUT, watch the damn video.. thats it..Cricket used to be such a Gentlemans game..such rubbish now.
Nobody cheated here folks, on either side. It was close, it was tense, the game went down to the wire and emotions ran high on both sides. Unfortunately, there was a loser and this time it was India, but there have been plaenty of times the Aussies have been on the losing side in close games.
chazzalinko or chazzawanko ill give u cheats a break - which leg do u want broken - see, i even have a sense of humour. Anyway carlyle is on his own - if after BROWN cheats of the IPL Admin. Im not a racist like carlyle - just HATE CHEATS
The ill-conceived replies you made are now in the hands of the police. Also has been forwarded to the Indian High Commisioner who will put it up in the Indians' Dressing Room at the start of every match against the Aussies. May you sleep well at night.
didnt the indian team have a big sook after this? saying the way the aussies celebrated was poor etc? from what i remember that saw the aussies decline in their performance especially in the final test.. dunno if it was this test or another?
No mater how much India call Australia cheats, it does not hide the fact their cricket team are too old and are basically shit. Also when their media runs out of excuse for the losses, they turn on the team, what kind of support is that?
Being English, I hate to see the Aussies win anything, but when they beat India, I could watch it all day long. I don't know what is more amusing, their overweight unfit uncaring (except IPL) players, or their deluded racist fans.
just saying, if india needed only a few runs to win, sharma wouldnt have "purposely" brought out to right hand gloves to waste time -.- they are lucky that clarke and our aussie fielding is so good or i woulda flown to india and hit sharma :D
@abishek1995 Cheated once ? Your joking ? How do Australia cheat ? If your gonna say that, atleast give reasons. We aren't the ones who paid the West Indies to vote for India in the World Cup so please, give me some insight on to how we could have cheated ?
everyone loses - just how you take the loss - as in not sooking like you. plus we are playing well in this game and only lost the first game by a couple of runs.
of course i get the biggest majority of negative votes - its one against maybe 8 million or so Aussie cricket followers. Anyway, youll now have a half-Sri-Lankan on your team. Ashton Agar is his name - Cricket is his game!
Can't you just accept that the Australian cricket players might just have the skill to beat India without having to cheat. Its not as complicated as you think, the better team won on the day, thats how sport works
just go to you tube and enter Clarke's 6 for 9 against India. The very first wicket he took was n.o. , any 5 year old can see the ball never touched the bat - and guess who was the umpire _ White supremacist Rudi Koertzen.
Stop the hate everyone... sport is here for our enjoyment. I'm sure India has similar moments to this that they love to relive, let us have ours. I remember watching this with my dad, and it was the most awesome day.
Pretty being number 1 in the test rankings is a much better accolade then being number 1 in one day games. Mind you I guess India can only aim at being good in one day games seeing as they are pathetic in the test form.
..........Let's just accept that the umpires were at fault and the result may or may not have been different had there been a fair match, we can't just keep on fighting over petty issues, can we? Move on, I say.
@robelinda2 atleast BCCI had balls to ban its players...FIX Waugh and FIX warne went on to have Long careers......oh well i forgot cheating is the national anthem of convicts...hmm that's why warne n waugh are national heroes
@nathanstorm7 around a 39 I think from memory, third highest score after Collingwood on 69 and Martyn on 59 (off at least 100 balls). It was a really low scoring match, from memory it was over 40 degrees that day.
@DreddWolff Yes, thank God all those Kiwis come over and work the mines. Our resources boom just wouldn't keep going without our trans Tasman brothers coming over here with all their traditional mining skills. No, really.
@nathanstorm7 if that happens im happy nathan,im a great fan of hussey dude.it will be harder for u guys to win the series than u won in the past.thats a fact and u have to accept that, anyway good luck dude
