@@pakoda_man2329 He has 28 tons in test, lead the team towarda a wc victory and u ignorant call him cheater for some minor mistake i dont even remember.
I'm a football fan and not really into cricket. But this is powerful stuff from Michael Clarke. I think sports fans all over the world will have paused for a minute to think about how precious life is. Clarke's words are so honest and emotional, even the toughest of men will be humbled.
As an England fan ive sat and watched this with tears streaming from my eyes. Great speach by Clarke and my thoughts go out to him and Hughes friends and family
I couldn't agree more, I am an England fan but more importantly a huge cricket fan and it is fair to say that this shows what a great sport it it, sure there are arguments on the pitches etc. but every player and fan of cricket will always have the bond that this tragic incident showed. Great speech by Clarke hear and one not only did I find myself filling up over but also nodding in agreement. R.I.P Phillip Hughes! 63 not out forever.
Pretty much a perfect eulogy in every way. Also for the two people who thumbed this down, really? Serious? Have good look at yourselves will you cos you're seriously messed up.
I am from Pakistan and I have so much respect for Michael Clarke, as a player and as a human being. I couldn't hold back the tears throughout his eulogy. It was so beautiful and honest. May Philip Hughes rest in peace. He will never be forgotten.
as an englishman, i used to have very mixed feelings towards Clarke, he is a fantastic batman and captain, but I thought he was a bit of an idiot with some of the things he used to do. However, this eulogy is absolutely incredible, and has completely changed my feeling towards him along with his entire handling of the terrible scenario. RIP Phil, sorely missed.
Are you the same jake leach who won England the 3rd ashes test this summer with Ben Stokes?? Though I know it's a useless comment regarding the video but I saw your name and thought of jake ..
It's exactly been 7 years.. Can anyone remember when clark said "we played this world cup with 16 members and that will continue to rest of my career. tonight is dedicated to our little brother, teammate Phillip huges" after won the world cup of 2015.. Clarke is such a legend and we are still missing hughes.. TT TT TT
I have watched this several times over the last few years. Just noticed today (19/04/2019) that 102 people don't like this speech!! One of the finest speeches/eulogies I have ever heard. Also, it showed that Michael Clarke truly had what it took to be the captain of an international sporting team. Phillip Hughes must have been such great man.
That's really emotional speech from Michael Clarke. You sound like true friend to phil.. Respect you sir and RIP phil the cricket loving crowd around the world will miss you.
Tears rolling as I view this again, even after a month. 'We must dig in, and get through to tea.' Those words will always resonate in my mind. RIP Phil.
Made me cry too bro. I met Hughes during an IPL match what a great soul he was. I cried so much hearing the news of his death. RIP Hughes. He died not out and will always be alive in all our hearts.
Almost 9 years, and still the best dedication from a cap to a soldier, a friend and a brother. Aussie legacy, u can hate it, u can love but never ignore it. Respect from India even after 10 years. 🙏🏽
5 years ago. As a Barmy Army member, still remember this and how sad I was that day. Cricket will always be a family when it comes to the crunch, what ever side you support. RIP Michael Clarke and enjoy watching down on the Ashes to come.
These words make me respect Michael Clarke like never before We must dig in and get through till tea. And we must play on. So rest in peace my little brother. I'll see you out in the middle.
He is partially responsible. As Australian captain, he had a duty to make sure the Maturi helmet which gives insufficient protection was not worn in Australia.
6 years passed now... Still missing Phil. Wonderful batsman and a great person. That was black day of cricket. Great speech by Clarke. RIP Phil. 63 not out forever.
Big fan of cricket here in Australia. It was impossible to watch the original broadcast without tears rolling down my cheeks, still no different now. Clarke showed the utmost quality as Captain, and I feel that he has touched on the spirit of cricket in every way. Sad loss for Australian cricket and around the world. RIP Hughesy
This eulogy was so heartwarming. I felt truly saddened by this loss to cricket and the world before but, now that I've seen what Michael Clarke had to say, I feel more for the loss than ever before. The final words that Clarke said really touched my heart and my thoughts go out to Phil's family, friends, teammates and associates in the great sport that we all know and love. RIP Phil Hughes. May your memory last forever.
Incredible speech hard not to well up! As an England fan I never really liked Clarke but from today he's got me on board! A real leader and a truly top bloke.
What a beautiful tribute from Michael Clarke. Watched it with tears rolling down my cheeks. Having seen how it has affected everyone in England, I cant begin to imagine how heartbroken everyone must be in Australia. RIP Phillip Hughes #TheCricketFamily
