I hope this is the type of performance we are better off for having in the long run. Better to identify weakness early to try and stamp it out. On paper we have a good squad, in practical terms we need to find a way to make it click. No need to a meltdown, we have hard games coming up so let’s hope the boys get stuck in
Back three needs to go ASAP, it puts too much pressure on our centre half’s to start attacks when they haven’t got the ability to do it. Piroe and Yates together doesn’t work either. Both want to do do the same thing in that they want to drop between the lines. You play 1 of them and pair him with a target man or a runner 👍🏼

A disorganised, lethargic and clueless performance for the first hour. Matters improved with the introduction of Patino on 60 minutes and Ginnelly on 89 minutes (far too late) but it was too late for them to reverse the earlier shambles. Both should start against Coventry next Saturday.

Honestly it’s hard to get used to the way Duff talks to the media. I find him far less likeable than Russ was. Tbh he’s not the most compatible match to our current squad. We need the players to put their own ideas to the side and follow Duff’s lead. I think we’ll do well this season but we’ll have a good number of unhappy players come January.

Swap to 4-5-1 and get a damn left back in the door! Patino should be in the middle. And Yates, as someone said below, doesn't look good next to Piroe. Piroe having to come deep cus Yates is taking up pretty much all his space. Fulton really not looking sharp at all so drop him for Patino. Could've gone down to 9 men with Cooper and Darling putting in silly challenges already on yellows as well.
I like him as a manager but I am praying we ditch playing three centre backs and try and player like josh ginnelly oilver Cooper with Yates up front and Piroe playing behind him
Sorry but Ben should have come off move Fulton or grimes back there and brought Patino on love Ben , but too slow right now we are using him to control movement from the back That’s not his game
