I read Michael’s book, some of his early ministry was with the Goodman family, no doubt she was a mother figure to him. Your absolutely right! She was an anointed woman of God! I felt that hug right here, years after that was taped.

He had an affair with his backup singer, Maribeth Jordan. Than got into painkillers and booze. God has truly restored him. He has a wonderful book out about it.

Did he leave the church again? Last a saw he looked pretty bad but I know God is able. My heart and prayers go out for him and I still love him!

I think of King David when I see Michael after his “fall”, for lack of a better word, and know he also became forgiven and blessed again. His voice gives me Glory bumps every time! His performance with the Gaithers was great, especially when singing “I Believe in a Hill Called Mount Calvary”! Praise God!

This is the most moving video I have seen. Michael really loved Vestal and had sung with them for a short time. He was truly repentant and humbled himself before this audience. Love Michael and his music ministry.

There have been plenty of times I have felt as lonely as you have stated. My marriage was over, my most precious relationship taken away from me by vengeful people, my life as I saw it was over. In fact I was very close to taking my own life earlier this year because of the hopelessness and despair I felt. My prayer that I posted came from a person who shed gallons of tears earlier this year. I dare say, Michael knows that pain as well as he was also suicidal. One person came to me with a single suggestion, one that seemed laughable to me, except God had a bigger plan than my feeble eyes could see. HE restored my marriage, and my life and I am in the process of regaining that relationship that was taken from me. I would never encourage you to stay in a dangerous relationship as my sister is still dealing with the fallout of being in a toxic relationship many years later. Please know that what I am fervently praying for is for God to send you someone who can show you the way home, because there is a way. Remember that the same God who placed billions of stars in the sky, spoke the laws that run the universe into existence, and that scientists still haven't figured out, knows exactly how many hairs are on your head. He sent His only Son to die for you because the CREATOR LOVES YOU!!!! As a Christ-follower I love you too, and know that prayers are being raised on your behalf right now. I always settled for less than what God wanted for me, or rather while I was still saved, I was kinda my own trainwreck lol. I am one that meant forever, more than once, and probably would still be there perhaps, but God had His own plans. That is one thing that I have always desired, is a Godly Christian Man, to love me the way Jesus loves his Church, and it just never happened. I put all the blame on myself, and therefore just accepted it would never happen. Granted, while 52 isnt THAT old, it's too old for me to want to start over, especially with NO self-esteem! I gave my best years to this relationship here and honestly it ticks me off that once again, looking for love in all the wrong places for all the Wrong reasons lol I could go on and on. In the video, I can no longer find, he confessed his sins and asked forgiveness right before he sang this song. You can see by his posture how guarded he is. Forgiveness was everywhere !
