Ali talked about police brutality and how evil the Ameri govern is. And the white ppl. of this country verbally attacking Ali. The Incredible Link Thats exactly what I'm talking about. Instead of realizing what's actually happening in your country, you choose to deny the truth and say that people of color must be making it up or over reacting. all you're doing is proving my point. you brought up a discussion that has nothing to do with my original comment. people of color in this country are at a disadvantage from birth and its because of the way the system is built. and unless you've grown up in a black persons body in a poor neighborhood then you have no right to say otherwise because I did and I can say from experience that people of color are absolutely at a disadvantage. it's fact that people who are aware of the truth but scared to acknowledge it have a tendency to deny it without reason. almost like people who deny the Holocaust...

I know for a fact that people of color are targeted by police and I have experienced it myself on different occasions. I was once pulled over for no other reason than the officer thinking that my car must've been too nice for me. He had no intention of pulling me over until he saw who was driving the car, everything was good, I wasn't speeding or breaking any sort of laws, after realizing that he had nothing on me, he starts fumbling with my inspection sticker asking my why it's peeling, like it must be fake, but apparently he forgot it was 90+ degrees that day. he then proceeds to call the shop number on the back to clarify legitimacy. after being proven wrong for a second time, he then returns to my car almost upset that he couldn't get me for something. he then had the audacity to tell me that I was a long way away from Philly as if black people aren't allowed to be outside of poor cities. tell me again how blacks aren't targeted... let me ask you this... if you think it isn't bad, how willing would you be to trade lives with a black man for 20 years?

I love Skipp Bayless a lot. I am mix race, but Skipp Bayless is a straight shooter. I been a fan of Skipp for nearly a decade now. I feel he has good logic and good heart. I also respect his stance on the Spurs, and Tim Duncan. I'm not a Spurs fan, but I do feel the Spurs haven't received enough praise.

I hate that people just don't acknowledge that Kaepernick already succeeded in his protest. The main goal was to get people's attention and awareness and get them to talk about the situations with the police and the black community and bring it to the Forefront on all levels. Like he said he did his job this year he's not going to kneel the work is done now let's move on to the next level reforming police departments and building the black communities Kaepernick is also doing that people are stuck on the issue of him not getting a job and what it means Kaepernick is good.

This is why I love the Minister Louis Fararkhan so much and I not of the Islamic cultura and religious experience. I grew up in the Baptist Church as a young boy growing up in the southern agricultural state of Georgia. Actually the same town where The baseball great, Tylus "Ty" Cobb who played with the Detroit Tigers in the early part of the twentieth century. However, it is small farming town were a lynching took place in 1936. The name of the town is Royston Georgia.

Kap brought awareness to how racist the national anthem is. For some reason I never was a fan of it, and when I read the words of it years later i see why now. If Kap stands he should've never taken a knee to begin with. The protest must continue until the words of that song are changed.

I'm black, I live in Kentucky and I have no idea of what he's talking about. I've had encounters with several cops since I moved here and I've never experienced that type of racism he describes. As a matter of fact, I was treated with respect and even once, was not given a speeding ticket I deserved. My in laws love me and respect me, same with my coworkers. Obviously, there are elements in our society, both white and black, that are ignorant and racist but to suggest that a white cop is waiting for an opportunity to shoot you is irresponsible, divisive and toxic.

I am so glad that Shannon pointed out just how pivotal of a role Skip has played. Skip is delusional and says a lot of things for shock value but one thing you cannot deny is that he absolutely understands the importance of shedding light on these issues. Notice how he really does defer to Shannon and other black men when discussing these issues because he wants to set the example that all people have a voice and they deserve to be heard.

I think what gets lost in this discussion is that people hated Kaepernick way before he ever kneeled for the anthem. Outside of the bay area he has pretty much been loathed since 2013.
