His grammar is very poor. He uses the dative case 'him' when he should use the accusative 'he' when he referred to Tom Watson and J Corbyn. And he was Min of Ed!
@22b he's saying that the DUP were inundated with people saying please don't vote to bring down the government, but implying a large number of Labour MPs didn't want that to happen either because they had no confidence whatsoever in Corbyn
An absolute masterclass of delivery - the way Gove looks them down at the beginning of the speech - Brilliant. Labour do not have anyone of this quality in the house. He's a slippery sod - but when it comes to dismantling the opposition he's pretty untouchable.
Your comments an absolute masterclass in ignorance and pretentiousness. The guy's clearly got mental issues, like most Tories. I could shut my eyes and randomly pick any labour MP and they'd deliver a much better speech. Just look at the carnage and destruction your government's caused over 13 long years of rule. The worst government at the worst time, and the worst government in history.
@Ed Hearn All the more difficult now for Parliamentarians to stop the cock ups and incompetence of this government. Good luck with it if it's your choice.
I agree that was brilliant and the Smug Corbyn could only sit and smirk ...Hes a Joke Brilliant way Michael Groves destroyed Corbyn....With a speech like that he would have made a great Prime Minister
@@kasegiyabu5030 and weirdly for a back stabber, he's now in cabinet under the bloke he supposedly stabbed in the back. I think there was more going on there than we realise.
@@Ruru-vb1cn regretfully and sadly? Why? It's fucking brilliant news that Labour lost. Nobody wants socialism or marxism and quite frankly I have yet to meet a single person outside the establishment and media who has anything other than sheer frustrated contempt for political correctness, all of which Labour is the party of. Labour used to represent the working class, and the working class have been blindly voting for them out of class loyalty without paying attention until Brexit shone a light onto them and woke the working class up to the fact that their party has been taken over by left nut jobs who do not represent them but in fact represent a fringe minority of spoilt idealistic middle class guardian reading millennial student brats. The working class might hate Tories but they would rather have the Tories in charge than twats like Corbyn, McDonald, Abbott, Lammy etc
Darth Pepe - not like this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r9rGX91rq5I.html Then why have they stayed as the 2nd in power in Parliament for like 40 years and not voted out or even overcome by a 3rd party like the SDP liberal alliance in the 80s
It's not governance, it's the public forum. The parliament and the government are very different things. But I agree to the extent that it enables MP's and by proxxy the public at large to hold the toes of the 'great and the good' to the fire.
Gove would be a better PM than Bono. He is so much more articulate and slimy enough to succeed. I don’t think I have seen him bested in the House of Slimeballs.
Philip Stacey I was unemployed under a labour government once for 6 years, there were no jobs or investment in this country under labour. it was only under the Thatcher government I was given help to get a decent job, buy a house for my family and progress in life. Basically the tories encouraged people to work hard under labour they just want the hard working to subsidise people who can't be arsed
Why do I have to step over homeless ex-soldiers on my way to work? Why are there patients on trolleys filling up the corridor of my local hospital? Why has England, the 5th biggest economy in the world, turned into a 3rd world shithole? 👁 👁 👄 Gove's slobbering rant may impress you, but the whole world is laughing their arses off at England as it fades into irrelevancy, incompetency, mismanagement, failure and ultimately, extinction.
Gray Taylor - or maybe because it was a fight for survival under Thatcher until you befall into being unemployed and or homeless. Need I explain or point out
The reason it is so good, apart from the cold truths he articulates, is that he is INCLUSIVE, he is not hating Labour, or any party, he acknowledges good speeches from all sides, he praises Hilary Benn, he talks of affection for Vince (ahh!), this makes it MORE effective when he targets Corbyn.
With a speech like that. He is an expert with more than one uni ologie. What a pity he can’t do as much with his hands as He does with his mouth . He is one of the many reasons. That we no have no longer have a skilled workforce. We are now a nation of Mouth Mechanics. Ideally suited to a nation whose highest paid industry is politics.
@@studmalexy As a female Lesbian I can say that Jeremy Corbyn was one of the major reasons I came out of the closet, because I couldn't stand the idea of dating someone with the same gender as Corbyn
I'm a Labour member. I voted for Corbyn as leader more than once. Even I have to admit this was an absolutely amazing speech. Gove is a brilliant orator.
“We know their defence policy: withdrawal, retreat, surrender. Withdrawal from the world, retreat from our responsibilities, surrender to European federalism! You can’t trust Labour on defence.” Michael Portillo Tory party conference 1995. Words still relevant if not more today than then.
@@elizabethf1591 kind of like the whole lot that goes represents what was once a great nation now just a shell ran by liberal corrupt politicians and you better watch what you say in Britain first Tommy Robinson next all people who speak out against the status quo
My favourite part is at the beginning when he looked upset as he stared at the front bench of the Labour party whilst they laughed at him, and then unleashed holy hell fire to the lot of them and wiped the floor with Corbyn. Absolutely incredible work!
@@mariogmajner6549 Gove knew May's deal would never pass. EVERYONE knew that. He was showing loyalty to a Prime Minister he has previously been out of favour with. He's a brilliant, cunning man, Boris debacle notwithstanding. This speech was barnstorming and perhaps the best seen in the HOC since the 80's, and every person should see it. If it doesn't spell out very simply just why Corbyn is so utterly, utterly insidious and dangerous for the UK then the reader's IQ must be below 60.
No, Gove made points that didn't include Corbyn at all, he just went on a tirade about other parties and how a few members of Labour didn't support Corbyn, it's a laughable statement when May scarpered of with her no-confidence vote by 19 out of hundreds of M.P.s, don't chat shit about Corbyn or I'll wipe the floor with you. UNDERSTOOD?
that's what they said not so long ago, about the uk voting 'no' in the referendum, trump defeating hilary clinton in the us election & corbyn being toast in the uk election. well, corbyn outlasted both cameron & mrs may. if you still take notice of the polls after that, you must be naive. get ready to welcome in your new christmas prime minister; jeeeeeeeeeeremy coooooorooobyn!! capiche?
Corbyn is a danger to this country and whilst I do not fully understand the inner workings of the house, if what has just been said is true what the hell is he doing in British politics leading the labour party!!!!
Haven't got a lot of faith in politicians nor will I ever, but this speech is outstanding. The oratations on point. Gove must of been on the charlie again.
The policy of vicky Pollard yea but no but yea..... oh dayummmmm that was brutal. Even a yankee from the USA like me knew whom he was referencing. I literally lol at work. 😊
In no way a Tory fan but this is a phenomenal speech from a superb debater. I saw him debate in person in October, and he made the Agricuture Bill actually interesting.
Darren Baxter he will kill our country but I’m sure due his past behaviour concerning abolishing the monarch and ira support , disbanding the armed forces ect I think he may have a heart attack before it’s allowed to happen , wink wink
Hards, WTF are you talking about? Try proper English, if you are educated enough to put together a coherent sentence that actually means something. Otherwise, shut TF up.
Ian Brown channel headquarters?? Low paid jobs? What planet are you on ? And after the debacle of new labour ... every job is a low paid job given how new labour pretty much scrapped any chance of real terms increases for about thirty years...
@David James I was responding to his ability as an orator of which I was previously unaware. That doesn't mean I was sucked in; I am well aware of the perfidy of politicians so don't, please, be condescending.
@David James I could never be offended by someone with your lack of perception or personal knowledge of myself, so don't worry your little head about it.
Regretfully he forgets that Theresa May in no way stood up to the EU and bowed down to all their demands and begged for time not to get us out of the EU as was voted for by the majority. Is he also going to tell us we didn't know what we were voting for? He brought up fighting for democracy when Theresa May and her party are and have fought against the vote democratic to leave from the very start.
I wanted Gove to be the new PM he is so Intelligent, but I think Boris is doing a good job, May was so weak she let the EU tell her what they wanted, no way, Boris stand up to them.
This is a masterclass in public speaking and debating. Humorous, to the point and a collection of facts that destroy the opponent with brute force. A real delight to watch.
As a member of Labour, this shows the difference in class between the Tory and labour front benches at the minute. In a high pressure moment Gove again shows his quality
Northern Ireland will be gone like a shot. Even Unionists are sick of you arseholes now. Oh that means no more UK. Different name, different flag. Then Scotland will leave you and then it's just you, with on;y Wales to keep you warm at night.
Pete7647 Two speeches I have heard in the last couple of years that have impressed me, this one by Gove and Hillary Benn's speech regarding the Syrian bombing (I think it was). Both spoken with passion and memorable whatever party one supports.
As if that 'man' (Gove) could ever fathom the depth of compassion and wisdom in Corbyn. This will be fodder for genuine comedy and irony in, say, 10 years!
@@BernieHollandMusic haha yes.... I like the way every week Frankie Boyle on 'New world Order' embellishes on his disgust at the man. Corbyn as a guy -if not a politician, is well-'above; people like this, one of the reasons is his humility and just natural humanity
I don’t like Gove, or the tories et al. But that was an historic speech beautifully delivered. Not sure it will ever be repeated, certainly never ever from the labour benches unfortunately
