Indigenous people have a great sense of humor. I learned about it living and working among them. It really made me love and appreciate these wonderful people, so down to earth!

I love the way Michael is so REAL and open about his craft AND his cultural background. Most people say Lakota as the White version and NOT as the Lakota People would say it and though Michael is Plains Cree, since his work on this film he pronounces Lakota as they do! THAT is something he has internalized and I am so glad he is THAT kind of person and THAT kind of actor!

I could listen to Michael talk for hours on end.So intelligent .So eloquent.He speaks the truth and this is what this country needs now,!Whatever he says it is said with such conviction and honesty,one can't help but listen.About to watch Woman Walks Ahead for the 4th time in 2 days.Thank you Tom for giving us the opportunity to get to know this amazing man!

Very nice. Its a shame that Woman Walks Ahead was supressed at the theatres. I was looking forward to seeing the film, had seen the trailers so I knew it was coming. I kept my eyes on the film listing for the major cinemas and the small art film houses, but the film was nowhere to be seen. Then I read that it will soon be released on dvd! Why was this film snubbed by the theatres?

It’s maddening how the show business establishment always claims to be so liberal and forward thinking, but time and again, any actor who is not from the majority in race, religion, or sexuality, always talks about the struggle to play a real human instead of a stereotype.

I think its fair to say that most of us, regardless of what we are or what our skin color isn't, we all at some point fulfill our own character stereotype or know someone that does.

To watch the movies you would also think women were in the minority. Not just women that look normal or aren't young, but just women in general, lol. I think the problem is, the screenplays are written by white males, so it's always from their point of view. When a woman has written, directed, or written AND directed a film, I can usually tell, or at least I'm not surprised by the time the closing credits roll.

The complete embodiment of the perfect man to me!! I first fell in love with M.G when I seen him in True Women...OMG!!! This man...mature in age is divine! His voice is both strong yet soft. Even without words he displays such a majestic aura. I'm pleased he isnt just nice to look at but has a great heart and personality. He is indeed a hidden gem. May he live a long, happy, healthy successful life with his family, friends and fans

The film was beautiful. A wonderful actor who depcited a legend in a fascinating and real way. Jessica Chastain was also brilliant. One of my favourite films now! Native American culture is extraordinary and captivating. Also, Michael Greyeyes's voice is very soothing and has alot of charm.

Michael is so eloquent and diplomatic in his expression of the injustices that the indigenous people suffered at the hands of the new arrivals.I call them home invaders because North America was already settled and they were but guests in this land; insufferable guests at that.

While the government is contemplating paying reparations to descendants of black slaves, perhaps the English colonialists should start by removing themselves back to their homelands in England, Ireland and Scotland and return this beautiful country to their rightful owners, the indigenous tribes. Then we could start paying reparations to the black people we dragged here from Africa. Wait, that doesn't make sense! Because non of any of us foreigners should be here in the 1st place, except by INVITATION

Aside from the fact that Michael is a handsome man in a gorgeous dancer's body, he is a brilliant and dynamic actor! He is doing so much to further open the dialogue between cultures and represents his indigenous people with intelligence and passion! I have only the deepest respect for him! Don't know if it is because I live in Central Pennsylvania, but I cannot find this film ANYWHERE...not even on line!!! I want desperately to see it! Any ideas will be appreciated.

This man is just so amazing! Intelligent, talented, funny, beautiful... and he's even NICE! Jeesh. The first line Sitting Bull says in this movie, it just pokes fun at the hollywood clichés. So, if you haven't seen it, WATCH IT! Unfortunately, they took quite a few liberties with historical accuracy (and I am a bit sensitive about that), but that doesn't take anything away from the beauty of the movie.

This movie was a really wonderful example of two people from really varied backgrounds finding common ideals from their cultures. The interaction between them leads me to believe that it is possible for people to get along and respect each other.

I've been searching for this movie. It's not on Netflix, I don't have any other streaming services, and it hasn't come to my tiny town. I know it's been out for a few years. How can I see it? I WANT TO SEE IT!!!
