MJF is a legend without a doubt. With that said, if this episode was not written 1 hour before it was filmed, I will eat my vhs copy of Back To The Future 3.
I remember being a 9 yrs old at the time and I had a huge crush on Michael J Fox and I wrote him a letter and I got a response it said thank you for your support and I couldn't believe it. Michael J Fox was in Back To The Future and The Secret Of My Success and Family Ties and he was popular in the 80s and I remember reading Teen Beat Then 17 Magazine So sad that the new generation missed out and they had alot of famous people on this show.
Great show everyone sat down to watch after dinner together. We all wondered who was going to be guest on the show. Always had a happy ending. Those were the good Ole days
It came on every Saturday nite We always went out too eat that night, then would come home & watch the Love Boat & then Fantasy Island afterwards. My parents were also Dallas fans, they couldn't wait too see what old JR was up too ! 😂 every Friday night
Well the actors have 9 years apart in age. Michael was 21/22 playing an 18 year old and Greg Henry was 30/31 when filmed. Looking at the photo, I guess one could be 3 and the other a young looking 12/13.
I love Michael J. Fox. Every show he has done was exceptional. I never knew that he was on the Love Boat. Keep Strong MJF....You are most definitely a talented actor.
It's looks like in line life story ture life movie all about him being back in time more information on his back to the future movie series season start show releases review family ties before
The Love Boat was the king of cameos. Barbara Billingsley (Leave it to Beavers mom) along with Michael J Fox. Every episode was like this. I loved growing up in the 80's👍
I loved this show back in the late 70’s/ early80’s. I would go to cubs after school on Tuesday nights and come home and watch it with Dad around 8:30 to 9:30 pm. So many life’s lessons. Always made me dream of going on a cruise as an adult and fall in love with a pretty gal when I grew up. Always the happily ever after show. Still never done a cruise now in my early 50’s with two kids early teens. 😂 maybe next year.
Me too 😢was about 9 or 10yrs old and loved laying in front of TV with either a bestie or family enjoying this show. Always a moral to be learned and just great ,clean, fine entertainment. good ol’ days! ❤
Jimmy (played by Michael J) is adopted, which explains why the parents are much older - they are adoptive parents. It’s likely they couldn’t have biological kids and decided to adopt in their 40s. His older brother was not adopted likely because of separation due to separate foster parents. It explains the parents reaction to when Jimmy told them he found his brother (“are you sure he is your brother?” Instead of “omg! Our lost other son!!”) Jimmy grew up to be a bit spoiled as the parents seem wealthier. The older brother grew up different. Shows a bit of a wealth stratification/class. I guess fate brought them together, which is the only thing that can explain Jimmy’s silly conflict with him from the start and wanting to fight him 1-1 later 😅 My only issue is that they look nothing alike !
@@GeekFilter Barbara Billingsley the mother on here also on leave it to beaver, was born in 1915 so if this episode was in 83 she would of been 68 here.
@@eddieisgreat5150 Right but take 18 years off of that and that's the age when they would have been adopting (assuming he was a baby when adopted) So in their 50s not 40s
I love the backstory you created for them - it makes complete sense! The only problem I had with the story is Jimmy never took ownership of his behavior and never offered an apology for it. His attitude was basically, "this is just who I am, so if you want your brother, live with it".
Such a talented amazing guy have been a fan of Michael J Fox since 1982 familyties I seen all of his movies 🎬 This character is playing is a little over the top but Michael J Fox can play any character any character so perfectly well
I think every actor alive in the 80's had a cameo on Love Boat. That's what was different about this show. It centered on a new celebrity guest character every episode.
How appropriate…the title of this episode is called “He ain’t heavy…” This clip had it all: Beaver’s mom, Gidget’s dad, Mallory’s brother, the BTK Killer. All accomplished actors with hundreds of credits amongst them. And of course, Isaac. He adds levity to any situation. The best.
It's so clear that all the comments saying they are so old to be the parents clearly do not watch the entire video... later in the video, it's obvious that he was adopted...
If they ever want to update this storyline for 2023, have Michael J. Fox's character take out his iphone to record it and try to humilidate the service staff online. That's what these types do these days.
Dios bendiga a Michael Fox dándole vida y salud en el nombre de Jesús. Sigamos clamando a Dios por la sanidad de Michael j Fox en el nombre de Jesús ❤ amén 🙏
The Actor playing Gregory has done alot of great work as well. The one I remember him most for is from Payback with Mel Gibson. Love Boat was always a running ensemble cast.
I was just thinking the same thing. He played a great bad guy in Payback and a sick pervert as well but hey with Lucy Lui in that movie I can understand.
Barbara Billingsley was 67 when the episode filmed. If she was playing a little younger (63) she could have had him at 45, or she could be a stepmother.
@@kevinjones9586 I know what The Love Boat was, we used to watch it every week. There is no reason they couldn't have casted a younger couple as everyone who was anyone wanted to be on it.
I don't know who the father was in real life but the woman was Barbara Billingsley (June Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver). She was 68 y.o. when this was done. Although it's rare, it isn't impossible for women to have kids at that age.
Truly bad.... thanks for this! I remember this when it was on TV as I was a massive MJF fan. I am sure I didn't see the corniness of this at the time, but it sure brings a tear to my eye... after laughing so much!
What an amazing story.. Love boat truly was a place where dreams came through. Anyone else hoping for a split second when he shook Mj's hand he threw him overboard.. 9:34 Whats wrong with me :(
Thanks to Doc tooling with the Love Boat’s mechanical parts and a little help from the Libyans, it reached speeds of 88 knots and Marty McFly went back in time to the orphanage swing set with his older brother.
It's not as much fun when she doesn't speak jive. They could have her translate a passenger for Julie. Cut me some slack, Jack! Chump don' want no help, chump don't GET da help!
I always found it funny that The Love Boat was done with such a glossy veneer and a smile that it was viewed by many as almost a family-friendly, wholesome show. Grandmothers watched it. I guess its "saving grace" was that all the gratuitous "T & A scenery" and rampant casual sex was turned into promised long term relationships by the end of the hour.
