It sold 8 millions copies. FAR! from a flop even by the numbers sake. thats almost diamond status. There are artist who cant get 8 million sales in the entirety of their careers. Mike did this on ONE ALBUM. The media just was hating per usual. Couldnt stand that Michael was indeed invincible. The lies hurt the sales to michael sale standard. However 8 million is NOT A FLOP this album still made them eat their hearts out. Plus its a masterpiece. No bad song on here.

It wasn't a flop it probably didn't get sell well as Thriller or Bad.If it would've had enough singles out there and music videos that might had been better sold.

I think the "flop" was from production costs. If it didn't net a profit it's a flop. It cost 64mil (in year 2000 dollars) to record.

I suppose it is rather decent, with perhaps 2 tracks I'd listen to, but I just can't help but feel that MJ lost a bit of his identity. It sounds like he is changing up to sound more modern

It is his first and only ballads album. Most the upbeat songs on invincible were extremely mid and boring. Album starts off MID and 2000 watts in particular is str8 filler music.

Sony sabotaged it. Radio wouldn't play it. Sadly due to the allegations at the time. Also this album was released the week of September 11th. Had so much going against it. Still debuted at number one in over 30 countries though

Invincible was sounding 2018 on 2001.. That was how great of an artist MJ was.. This album is absolutely timeless.. Sony sucks for their lack of promotion but at least us (his fans) appreciate it & consider it one of his many great records

J Crash I'm a teen and I think his Bad, Thriller albums are the best. Invincible is my favourite after those two as it's so different from all the other stuff MJ has done.
