@@dottybambni a straight troll account thanks for letting us know how little you know about Michael Jackson. There's plenty of evidence of him speaking with a deeper voice the guy just had crazy range there are guys like that.
1973 His adult voice is starting to creep in but he still has enough of his youthful voice to imitate his younger self. You can hear on the full medley several points where he tried to push those higher notes out and his voice wouldn't cooperate. He was so good that even his "failures" sounded great. That's the most interesting point of his vocal evolution to me.
Theres a recent video of Chris Vance(MJ the Musical) performing a few songs and his voice sounds JUST like Mike when his voice was beginning to transition 😆 Had me grinning ear to ear
As an artist, I find it interesting that as he's performing it solo he's speeding thru the song, even ahead of the band at times... but when hes reunited with his fam it's laid back again, and hes in the groove... personally I find is when I'm playing a song maybe that I'm bored but you play it anyway fan fav or whatever.... but clearly a difference in his connection to the song when singing with his fam for sho.

I love the "Ohhh", when he sings "oh darling I was blind to let you go" in all his adult performances is too good. He goes right into the feeling there
Between 1987 to 1988 i feel the feeling of experience because he was 29-30 years thats most coherent for live that heartbreaking at this age , more than at age 12 you know 😅
I don't think there has ever been anyone as entertaining as Michael Jackson. From his childhood and throughout his life. Just loved watching this progression.
he struggled with his voice back in the history tour but through the years he conserved his voice really well at the age of 50, people should focus on that instead of the appereance
Despite Michael in the 90s lip syncing some of his songs live, he knew he couldn't lip sync the classic J5 hits and still had legendary choreography + vocals in the set. Relentless effort and talent 💗
There will never be any performancer that stacks up to Michael in my life time. He was so good at what he did. He was so handsome in his younger days its makes me sad he went through all those I securities when he should of been so confident
Absolutely amazing from beginning to end (and of course the very last one was just a rehearsal where he was testing the in-ears, but still sounded great ❤). There is no-one else like MJ in the world and there never will be, we've lost the greatest 😢. The world misses you Michael, RIP!
ive never been a huge fan i like some stuff but i truly feel sorry for this man from what I've seen in interviews he was definitely a tormented individual he really could of been even more then what he was and he was great even so
I’m not sure how he could’ve been more. He’s one of the biggest artists ever and it’s honestly difficult to find a direct comparison to his level of fame.
This really shows just how music changed over the years, even back then. From 1971 to 1973 it was pretty much the same, but from 1974+ it just completely changed. How they dressed, how they sang, and how they danced. In 1983, his looks just changed completely too.
Great song. .great voice. There is a 1/2 step drop in the key going from 73 to 74 at 1:16 to 1:18....also another 1/2 step drop from 81-83 at 2:26-2.28. this is common as vocalists age, dropping the key a bit which allows the singer to hit the high notes without blowing out their voice during a long tour.....I still like the earliest performances....just a fresher sound. Great voice, great performance by the brothers....timeless song performed by the only people who could do it justice.

Wow I had no clue the five did concerts for the better part of 40 years!!! I was born 94, first intro was Thriller then the second was I want you back! Incredible wish I could’ve seen them at least once ❤
The Jackson 5 last tour was in 1984 from that point on it was Michael Jackson on solo tour without his brothers. Only in 2001 he was on stage with his brothers again.
Thanks for posting this. The "evolution" videos for this and Love You Save are classics. Glad to see them persist on YT. As he aged he naturally is gonna move a little slower, but he remained thin and with a good diet and practice, he could still do a great job at 50 years old. And certainly has the track record and interest to remain relevant. Maybe not as much as his peak during the Bad & Dangerous Tours, but still very impressive & relevant. Keep in mind that in 2009 this man had been performing about 40 years. In 2009 also he was working with people in their 20s (usually a persons physical prime) born in the 80s. Jackson is two generations older than them and still going. IMO his physical peak was the Bad tour through the early 90s. His 1992 Bucharest Billie Jean was one of the most impressive performances he did. Fast tempo, real singing, and extended dances. It's awesome to see him performing so much. He really internalized the music and it was his gift.
