This diamond of a man had all the time in the world for us moonwalkers, he loved us as we loved him. He was the best of the best. You will shine in my heart FOREVERMORE and then some lovely Mike. 😇😇🙏🧡❤🙏🧚♀️🧚♀️🙏✌✌✌✌
I was there and had a special moment with him and my friend when he arrived back at The Dorchester after the theatre. One of the most precious moments of my whole life🥰🥰🥰🥰 Though the green shirt and theatre visit was Oct 8th. I was also there on the 15th but didn’t see him.
@@leelasaraswat4662 Well my chums and I were at the hotel when he left for the theatre. We debated following in a taxi but figured he’d be there way before us so we wouldn’t see him, plus loads of fans had gone ahead to the theatre already. So we decided our best chance to see him was too stay at the hotel and wait for him to come back. There was a ball taking place so we stood at the ballroom entrance watching the ladies go through in their amazing princess dresses, so that passed the time nicely. The ballroom entrance is a relatively short ‘corridor’ with a glass revolving door in the middle and a glass door either side. This is useful to know for later on. Once the ball had started we decided to stay around the ballroom entrance as there were more fans at the main front entrance so we chanced it that he’d go back in that way. Sure enough, a while later, we heard feet pounding on the pavement and screams and shouts so knew Michael’s car was about to arrive. They pulled up outside the ballroom, and we got pushed to the back of the entrance near the glass door to the side of the revolving door. So being first there didn’t help because we then had dozens of people blocking our view of the car. Mark Lester, his kids and Michael’s kids got out and went through the door, but Michael couldn’t get through the crowd so had to get back in the car and drive off. We assumed he was either going to the front entrance or the underground carpark. We decided that we’d not get to either of those quickly enough to see him, and my friend pointed out that security would be best to make the fans THINK he’s going to those other entrances and then come back to the ballroom because most of the fans would have cleared out of the way. And that’s exactly what they did! So Michael’s car pulled up again at our entrance, and while some fans still got there and once again we got pushed to the ‘back’ of the corridor, there weren’t as many so he was able to get through. I remember being so happy because I’d seen the top of his forehead as he walked through! Then, as my friend and I got squashed up against the flat glass door, Michael walked through the one on the other side of the revolving door and we realised that we had an un-obscured view of him, and all he could see was the 2 of us in the doorway because it was so small! He walked towards us and I remember just relishing being able to look him up and down from inches away. We told him we loved him and he said he loved us, blew kisses, giggled, waved, smiled, and just stood there in all his beautiful glory for a couple of minutes. I got one very fuzzy photo of the moment (he’s so close up it’s just his shoulders and head!) and we later found a press photo of him waving at us. When the started to leave some of the people at the ball had come out to see him so he stood for a while meeting them, while we were able to watch. A few minutes later he went back to his suite, and we were left in a crying heap on the floor. A few years later I went back to the hotel and stood where he stood and still can’t believe how close he was to us and that we had those few minutes of just him and us, even though there was a crowd behind us, he couldn’t see them. Even to this day my friend and I celebrate ‘Oct 8th - the day of our door!’
