This is so true. Morphine is one of my favorite MJ songs. I have also abused opiates and I can feel the pain and frustration he feels while singing this song. It's horrible having to depend on opiates not just for pain relief but for escaping reality as well

I think this song was real because he was addicted to these drugs. It's absurd when a doctor says that cholesterol can't be regulated by changing the diet... you will have to use statins for the rest of your life... and sadly that's pretty much with all of the conditions.
