This is one of the best MJ remixes, in my opinion, out there rn. Like, this should be one the official remixes from the estate, published on his official channel. I am obsessed with this dude! Great job!
My family has been in the music biz for three generations and I was part of the original trap music scene in Memphis during the 90s. (The only reason I'm bringing that up is because I _really_ want to emphasize/qualify how much I agree with you.) I've heard a lot of trap and a lot of MJ, but this track is absolutely next level. At it's roots, it's an extremely OG Memphis trap beat. It has those classic " horror movie" arpeggios right off the bat. ..but it's also full of European techno trap (most especially that slippery bassline). It's the entire 30+ year evolution of the trap genre in one track. ...and then, just for fun, they PERFECTLY laid MJ on top of all that - like a cherry on a cake. Lol One of the few songs on RU-vid that's _actually_ "underrated".
