Hi everyone! I'm bringing yet another one of my personal mixes, in today's video I'll be presenting you my take on the track "Rock My World".
The song was originally recorded during the "Invincible" album sessions, But in this mix I'll be reconstructing the song as if it were made during the "Thriller" album sessions! Please leave any suggestions for future mixes!

2 demos of You Rock My World were recorded in 1982. One in January and another in March. Both were unreleased. It was reworked again in 2000-01 for the Invincible album. The second leak was released on February 5, 2022 by QM. I love it!

Written as far back as 1980 and was among the songs considered for the Jacksons album Triumph, but Michael later reworked it for his album Thriller in 1982, but was ultimately kept off the album. Jackson liked the song so much that he would later rework it in October of 1999 for his album Invincible. The song was thought to be about Diana Ross, whom he had been in love with since he was kid. Fan made story btw

At the risk of sounding weird, I had a complete eargasm. The beat alone was 🔥. I never imagined this song being sung in this direction. When the chorus with those background harmonies & the beat... I melted. Michael was right at the start of the song. I really wasn't ready! 😭💯

This sounds like a post thriller pre bad mix. If Michael dropped an album in like 1985 this is probably what it would’ve sounded like, especially if you listen to demos from that time like “Loving You” very similar bass.
