The vast majority of the Bad tour was 100% live vocals from MJ but this particular song is lip synched until the 4:08 mark when Michael gives the signal to turn his mic on by putting his hand in the air. From that point forward it's all live.
The entire setlist with the exception of Man In The Mirror was live in the New York MSG concert. I believe it was the same with Kansas City too. It was probably too much for him, and that's probably why he decided to use play back for Smooth Criminal, Bad, and The Way You Make Me Feel.
No one come close to this unique master showman who had everything he could write songs, produce them , sing , dance , entertain and put on the most amazing live performances. What a legend he was
Michael Jackson is not the King of Pop. That man is a Super Hero!!! He is the closest thing to an actual super hero in real life that we will ever get. Spread it around!! :)
Come on. Think about it. Michael Jackson is a real Super Hero. He's donated 500 million dollars to charity which broke the World Record in Guinness Book of World Records as the most money donated to charity. He gave this one kid a kidney transplant in Italy with out one the kid would have died. Michael Jackson even saved a man's grandma as he personally pushed her in the wheel chair as he avoided the paparazzi.(Check ot the audio of it on RU-vid.) There was a lonely depressed children's book writer who he invited to Never Land ranch and the man just broke down right in front of him as he wept that the stuffed animal was his only friend and Michael Jackson humbled himself by getting up and hugging him. There was a kid who's father tried to burn him alive yet he survived, but his face was completely destroyed, so Michael Jackson brought him in by inviting him to Neverland and he never lost contact with him And of course Michael Jackson has awesome Super hero dance moves.=SUPER HERO.
Michael has the coolest way of walking/strutting across the stage. I love that about him. That is why they say nobody moves like Michael Jackson. It wasn't just his dancing. It was his total moving and body control.
Absolutely. It wasn't only Michael's dance moves, he had an extreme natural grace even in the everyday things like "simply" walking. The beauty if his Soul even express so coherently in those details... Michael I/we LOVE you eternally. (and here miss you like crazy).
+ann landers thats true it also was how he danced his moves if anyone with a bit of feeling for dancing should try this it should look a bit like it but there is no one who can make those moves like mj himself
Bro this ain’t no HD, this is VHS, they lost the original U matic master it’s everywhere that it’s a vhs cuz they lost the original tape master never say preserved in hd ever agian
At the time of his peak, he danced 10 times better than proffesional dancers! No other singer would give such a performance. He owned the stage and he would leave his fans mesmerised. And I also have to point out that, if we heard this song for the first time in 2015, NOONE would ever believe it was written almost 30 years ago ! That is what distinguishes a star from a LEGEND.
+Sani7arium i am a huge MJ fan sinds i can remember his songs, i also pay tribute to him (you can that @ my channel vids) but, i am sure in the future i will give my childeren something historic to listen to, that is the legend, Mr. Michael Jackson, i wonder how the generation about 10 to 20 years later would listen and look to MJ
I think he is not a human..... The perfection he has, it is not possible for a human to have this kind of perfection....... Mind blowing artist on earth
@@gidfaller2347 nop mj grew up as a black man in the ghettos. Why do you think most atheletes are black people? Or most runners and basketball players are black people?
The fitness you need to sustain such a performance is sheer mindblowing. Everybody who dances knows that those sharp movements, quick stop and gos, putting every little energy in a single armstroke is so extremly demanding. This is in the middle of the tour. He is exploding of energy here. It must be an inner joy of feeling and dancing to the beat which enables him to bring that performance on the floor. Its again mindblowing. This concert is outstanding. You don't have to be a fan to appreciate the quality of the performance.
This man is a gift we never deserved. The rarest gem. God, I can’t find the right words to define him! The word ‘swag’ is not enough to even start with 🤩🤩🤩 I was born in 1990 and I’m officially and forever a moonwalker 🕺🏻
The voice, the passion, the presence, the gift, the legend. I wish i could have met young Michael in his purest form and time when he needed to be a child those moments of the Micheal Jackson just being Micheal. I wish I could have known that Michael maybe even been his friend. He gave so much of his life to the music world.
This is THE BEST PERFORMANCE I HAVE EVER SEEEN. He really is the best performer of all time no one comes close, in terms of creativity, energy, pure agility, just everything.
Check out jeferey perez he is doing world tour tribute to micheal.. pls support buy tickets he's world best atm. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NiWNwc9eGas.htmlfeature=shared
The most talented The most humble The most beautiful The most caring The most loving The most gentle The most misunderstood The most popular The most iconic The one and only King Of Pop, Rock and Soul R.I.P *MICHAEL* *JACKSON* We love you and miss you so much 🙏💖
@@eemeli224 Do you have evidence? Can you Proof it? Well,If you can't then shut ur mouth, don't come here talking shit go and learn the facts you're so ignorant #mjinnocent
@@superstargirl2049 There was plenty of evidence, watch this documentary called: "Leaving Neverland". Theres really no motive for people to be lying about these things after MJ's death, if this amount of evidence and testimonies were found against someone who wasnt a pop star, they would have gone to prison a long time ago. I still love his music but its extremely likely he was a truly disgusting person. How about you go and learn some facts yourself because it sounds like youre too much of a fangirl to be able to see the truth thats right in front of you.
@@eemeli224 well let me tell you that Leaving Neverland is a mockumentary, they are lieing and talking about 4 hours, but there's literally no evidence to what they say, if you don't believe me just watch this video till the end:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uf9lbFRERB0.html

no one can be compared with MJ.. MJ sing without autotune or 50% voice change.. only natural + old audio tehnology.. the inspiration of Bruno Mars is MJ.. all we inspired by MJ.. because is the best.. best voice skills.. and best dance moves skills..all dance like him today.. because of him.. in 2018 98% of singers use autotune + voice changed 50% + (sorry for my bad english )
3:47 absolute gem from m Jackson...the best possible dance moves ever...such a great artist he was...so powerful and energetic electrifying performance...there will be no other Michael Jackson... RIP YOU LEGEND...
Damn, this man is fine as hell. Not only that, but I read somewhere on the internet that Michael said the BAD World Tour was going to be his last, because he wanted to make movies and records. Imagine how different his life would have been if it came to that.
Yeah, that was funny to watch. Mostly because it wasn't at all the same lean from the video. Anybody can pick themselves up before completely falling. lol But it still looked cool.
You got to think...how many different routines he has to remember for each song. Then he has to remember the lyrics too. Then to combine both. My God. I already knew he was great growing up in 80s but the younger kids these days will never know :(
Wow ‘88. He was at prime of his singing career. So sad that he has tragically gone to heaven like that. What a loss. I’m yet to meet anyone as talented as MJ to this day after 30 years.
This guy was simply a genius, a gift to humanity, how did he come up with all those dance moves, the routine. Honestly, planet earth has never seen his kind (in entertainment)
I don't think he came up with all the dance routines by himself. There's video footage of him and another guy working out the Smooth Criminal dance moves.
It's amazing how that routine fills me up with adrenaline just from watching it, every single time. The whole routine is insane but when they make those 4 moonwalk steps as a group I lose it.
It's 2017 and still as mesmerizing as when it happened 29 years ago. Greatest entertainer of all time. King of Pop. Michael Jackson. The one and only. We miss you MJ.
MJ was badass 😎. He was shy offstage, but man, as soon as he got on stage he was on fire 🔥. What a performance 👍. Everybody wanted to dance like Mike and everybody wanted to be like Mike because he had so much swag. I would have loved to see this tour live. I think I would have screamed like a bitch 😅.
As the music industry has evolved it's become rare to see artists with staying power, despite having number ones the song is soon forgotten within 6-12 months. Its artists like MJ, Whitney, Freddie etc that will live on way beyond any of us. God bless you Michael Jackson thank you for gifting us with your music and sharing it with the world. You are missed more than you could ever know.
I think the choreography for 'Smooth Criminal' is one of the best Michael and his team ever did. His dancers were on point, R.I.P. Dominic Lucero (he's the dancer in the light grey suit). I like how the stage hands actually carry the dancers off the stage at the end of the song while Michael casually walks off lol
MsKekeChannel I agree. I cannot get over this choreography. At 03:30 when they launch into the synchronous dancing, especially starting at 03:46, it's hypnotizing, and Michael doing that slide to his right with his hand to his hat and with his mouth dropped is just too cool. Too cool. I keep thinking about his backup dancers and how, like you say, they are on point. They keep cranking it out. I hope they got their propers, or that he paid them really well. They certainly deserved it.
