Loved how excited you were about this performance! I felt the same way when I watched this in '93. I was in high school and sat with my family and watched the Super Bowl just to see MJ perform. Epic!

I was very touched while watching this video, especially at the end. Michael was a truly pure human being and very loving. And sometimes some people couldn’t stand it. Oh heck yes. So glad you did this, Jack. I still think this stands up as one of, if not the best super bowl performance. The “pop out of the stage” entrance is the one he used through the Dangerous tour and it’s fire every single time. The bit during black or white where he was standing in the smoke, was the bridge of the song. (Hard to hear for sure). The kids were singing “We Are The World” and yes, just drawings :) Also, what other singular performer could do this type of music and unite an entire stadium of sports fans? Oh, and the little girl with curly hair standing with him for most of Heal The World, is his niece. 💕 Miss you MJ. ❤️

its crazy the type of crap they put him through because he loved children so much .. he's even said that if it weren't for children he would kill himself . he also said he'd slit his wrist before even THINKING about harming a child . everyone wanted to ruin him and that's so sad . but its beautiful that even tho everyone tried to make him look like a monster he still gave back , he still helped children get the organs they need for transplants . he just never stopped being himself .

Then my mom stopped singing and remember askin why and she said "I remember watchin this as a kid and singing along it's crazy that it's already been 2 yrs since he passed" I was 8 almost nine now I'm 17 almost 18. Just a few days before Michael performed at the Clinton inauguration, I saw him on TV, I was 11 yo. I was like, hmm, who's this guy? Then a few days later I saw the Super Bowl show and that was it for me. I saw him in concert in my home town in 1996, I realise how incredibly lucky I was as it would be his last tour. 27 years have passed and I still am as huge a fan I was back then, listen to his music every single day. I can say he changed my life, hands down. To think that he would only be 61 yo right now... I cannot even imagine the wonderful things he would be doing if he was alive. Rest in peace, Michael.
