Hi everyone! I'm bringing yet another one of my personal mixes, in today's video I'll be presenting you my take on the track "That's What You Get (For Being Polite)".
The song was originally recorded during the "Destiny" album sessions, But in this mix I'll be reconstructing the song as if it were made during the "Thriller" album sessions! Please leave any suggestions for future mixes!

Originally recorded and released for The Jacksons' Destiny album in 1978, Michael wanted to rework it for his Thriller album. This version was recorded in November 1981 and was completed in January 1982. It was obviously dropped from the album and was replaced with (You Give Me) Butterflies before being replaced with Baby Be Mine. This demo remained unreleased for over 40 years before being released in late October 2022 by Quality Mixes. How do you make something sound so good?!

There's actually footage of the '84 Dallas concert on here. I wish the camera could face the audience and see their reaction in the camera shots. There probably is, but I highly doubt it.

That’s what you get for being polite was originally on the album Destiny by The Jacksons. Jackson decided to record an updated solo version for the album Thriller in 1981. He re recorded this and Rock With You in the same session. Ultimately the remakeswould be left off the album as Jackson and others had wrote and made more original songs to include on the album. The 1981 version would be leaked by Quality Mixes October 22, 2022.

You and I both! Unfortunately I don’t have access to the stems, I’ve tried filtering the vocal but it doesn’t come out sounding good at all, it’s been a mix I’ve been working on for 2 years now so whenever I do finally get my hands on those stems, that’ll be the first thing I upload 😄
