Michael Jai White and his wife Gillian White discussed various topics, including the fresh feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. The couple expressed their views on how gossip is heavily featured in this clash, with personal accusations being thrown back and forth without proof. Kendrick accused Drake of having a secret daughter, along with other allegations, to which Drake responded with various allegations of his own. Looking at this situation, White expressed his wish for the dispute to be a prank and stressed the need for maturity, particularly among African-Americans. He said, "I don't think that grown folks, especially Black folks, should [be] doing this to each other." Gillian agreed, stating that the unfolding scenario seems quite childish.

Gillian was talking about the LL Cool J vs Kool Moe Dee feud in the 1980s, which is probably the feud that's closest equivalent to the Drake vs Kendrick feud. They were both big rap stars at the time, but LL had more commercial appeal with a large female fanbase, while Moe Dee was technically a better lyricist and had more of a social conscience.

I always say that Moe Dee won the battle but LL won the war. LL was able to keep making radio-friendly hits & therefore maintain a successful career long after Moe Dee faded out. & ultimately that's what matters in the long run. I'll be curious to see if Drake can do the same thing.
