That’s lame. Because nobody in life is that way. And he did say something negative ..he basically said Jack Nickleson can’t act....this coming from a guy who can’t act lol ...and I fuck with MJW. But him saying jack can’t act is laughable
one of the great strentghs dc always had vs marvel was the batman universe where nowadays the actors of marvel try to downplay batman but the reality is everything in the batman world is pretty much top notch, the joker is the prime example because he is the natural opposite of batman, wich brings an emotional response in their psychological and moral battles
Health’s Joker and the Dark Knight is a completely masterpiece ! But Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker is my favorite Joker now. There both up there. But man Joker (2019) is my favorite film of all time.
Just my opinion, I loved all of the Dark Knight movies but the best Batman movie ever is Batman Mask Of The Phantasm. While I also love Heath Ledgers performance as the Joker I do not believe it’s better than Mark Hamill’s Joker in Batman The Animated Series.
Michael clearly respected and loved Heath, and carefully chose his words carefully describing the cause of death. and Vlad practically said "nooo....he actually abused...." while naming all the drugs in his system! why Vlad!? great job by Michael keeping his cool and keeping Heath's integrity intact with that steelyface "nah, you can't get that" look!
@@SMGLA364Probably because Ledger himself was to return and this whole arc with White would've played out. I have read about plans to make the Joker return in TDKR. So when Heath died, this whole arc became pointless.
The director must hate black people because he sure had the joker murder a lot of random blacks. Did y’all also cheer when the joker killed black cops and nurses in the movie?
I say road to perdition and a history of violence are both better than dark Knight and I love that film history of violence is a comic book so it's a comic film
@@mariuskristensen1867 theses cops and lawyers wouldn't dare across any of you... i mean, what happened? Your balls drop off? Hm... You see, a guy like me...
Lol Imagine if he played Gamble like he did Black Dynamite? Joker gets hit by a boomerang blade, and Gamble jumps over his bleeding body and yells. "I threw that shit before I walked in the room!"
Yeah I love film me and my cousin are fanatics and we always cast people. There are 3 people we feel could've played the role. Chad who got it, Mike here, and Wesley Snipes fun fact Wes was supposed to play him going back to the 90's even though Blade is a Marvel character it was well before the sale to Disney and these comic book universes Stan Lee himself was trying to get it made but no one was going for it 94 it was in real production but shit never happened people were confused thinking it was bout the black Panther party even as late as 02 Snipes said he was either doing Panther or Blade 3 and we know how that went lol. We figured Snipes and Mike for the same reasons they for real can kick ass both are black belts in different martial arts, but Marvel(Disney Marvel) has gotten the rights to Blade back and there are 2 at our list for him Wes can still do it he's like Stallone and Dolf Lundgren still in great shape and Mike here he's younger and could carry it longer, I would put Mike B. Jordan in, but he's in their cinematic world already.
The more interviews I watch of Michael Jai White in regards to Heath Ledger, the more respect I have for both of them. Heath didn't do the crazy method acting like Jared Leto, and Michael is all about preserving Heath's dignity and reputation. He seems like such a classy person.
Jack Nicholson was the best choice for the Tim Burton's version of the Joker and Heath Ledger was the best choice for the Christopher Nolan's version of the Joker. They both played the part perfectly
@@Yusei5ds0707 most people wouldn't even recognize the *original* Green Lantern - Alan Scott. There's a black guy from Earth who is a Green Lantern who has been around for decades though. He was the main Lantern used in the popular 2000s animated Justice League series.
When ppl say Heath was far better than Jack as Joker - what they really mean is they prefer the gritty grounded take on Gotham over the more comic gothic take. They both played the Joker but their jobs were completely different. Each performance was effective in their film and neither would have been as effective in the other film.
I find this funny cause i just watched the Dark Knight last night 😂 Heath Ledgers Joker still remains the best movie adaptation of a villain, i would take Josh Brolin as Thanos and MBJ as Killmonger after that
I'm not just saying that just bc he is being interviewed...but the ONLY thing that pissed me off about the Dark Knight was that Michael Jai White wasn't in it longer. The way he went back and forth with Joker was classic
That was part of the story.. . joker didn't appreciate opposition from the mob... the russians were compliant with him.. the italians were willing to work with him.. gambol and his gang dont want shit with the joker... joker had to destroy them early on..or else it would've been gambol vs joker
Heath ledger created and showed a real life realistic version of the joker which is why it's the best version of the joker. He made it look and feel like someone like that as a villain can exist in real life and created the most iconic version of the joker. It was perfection and a timeless piece of work, the dark knight is the best comic sequel of all time.
Hanzo Zer0 no there were different plans for the dark knight rises, but they obviously had to change it because heath died. I imagine gamble was part of the 3rd movie, but they changed it due to the jokers absence
Vlad is a sneaky bastard for that question about Heath. Vlad clearly will do anything for more views. You can imagine the title "Michael Jai White says Heath was messed up whilst filming" or some other snide stuff.
(Slams hand on table) ENOUGH FROM THE CLOWN Ah da dah dah dah let’s not blow this out of proportion YOU THINK YOU CAN STILL FROM US AND JUST WALK AWAY ? Yeah 😂
Jack Nicholson you can tell it's jack Nicholson when he's playing a character. Heath ledger if you didn't know it was heath ledger playing the joker you would never guess it was him
first: heat wore an heavy prosthetic mouth piece under the face painting, it's not like he actually "deformed" his face by himself second: he was easily recognizable despite his actual look was, honestly, not particulary unique
Micheal really is an awesome human being. The biggest suspension of disbelief for me was how the Joker took him down, cuz Micheal is such a bad ass! would have loved to have seen the Character of Gamble live on for some more screen time. Make a 4 hour cut of that movie, I'd watch! One of my favorite movies of all time in any genre
Hearing people open up their personal lives is fascinating. When he MJW talks about how he is accustom to death and his voice drops and slows down I can't help but notice his demeanor change to a totally different tone from the rest of the interview. I actually kinda felt his pain and loss for those 5 seconds.
So many people gloss over the admission by Heath that he started trying to trash his career ON PURPOSE because he was tired of always playing "pretty boys" and wanted to do something meaningful....and oh god how he rebuilt himself! So sad that he is gone so soon.
There are lots of parallels between Heath Ledger's Joker and Brandon Lee's The Crow. They both literally transformed themselves into something completely different to the point it was scary. Such a damn shame they both died so young, totally preventable deaths also.
RIP Heath Ledger he was the best JOKER 🃏 EVER!!!!! He brought him 2 life & was so on point idc what anybody say he was the best JOKER ever period 🤦♂️ 🙏🏽😇
Heath Ledger was a very believable Joker and Heath Ledger was so handsome that even with all that ugly makeup on, he was still hot. It made people want to understand him and identify with him. We are just naturally very attracted to handsome charismatic people and that’s who he was. Even with all the ratty clothes and gobs of makeup and scars and acting very evil, Heath Ledger was the best looking most attractive man in the movie. With a cast like the “Dark Knight” had, that’s pretty amazing. Christian Bale, Gordon Hewitt (sp?), Michael Jai White, and many others, the man stood out.
Props to MJW - I've wathced him in tons of stuff and enjoyed his work but never really paid enough attention to understand his depth and talent... this is a very informative interview thanks Vlad!
