Ladies and gentlemen, today we are opening up two NBA Fleer 1986-87 basketball packs and searching for the Michael Jordan rookie card. There are many epic pulls we can get in these packs: Charles Barkley rookie Card, Isaiah Thomas rookie card, and others.
We are also opening up Burning Shadows Pokemon packs. These packs could have the Rainbow Rare Charizard. One of the rarest Pokemon cards out right now.
We are opening some different stuff. If you like to see us open up some cool items, let us know what to open next.

That is his rookie card. He didn't have any released before 1986, unless you count the Star company...they consider those ones XRC's

There were 2 years of Jordan Star runs. Only the 84-85 is his XRC. There’s an 85-86 Star that would be his Star RC.

The first 86 pack was searched, they were alphabetical order. A few of the guys started before 86 including Jordan, but Fleer was the first licensed set for basketball in a couple of years. There were the Star sets.

Both those FLEER packs were searched and repacked. Not even close to the right order. The Jordan should have hit 2nd card after Kellogg in the second pack.

@@HeavyMetalOne64 What? No it wasn't. Both of those packs were searched and repacked. Neither of them were in the proper collation sequence. 1986 Fleer Basketball had a very specific sequence that would tell you if the Jordan was going to be in the pack. The second pack should have had Jordan in it 2 cards after the Kellogg. The cards fall in two parallel reverse alphabetical order sequence, alternating cards, 66 cards apart. Not counting the sticker (which is randomly paired with the 12 cards, but still follows the same mathematical insertion rate), starting from the top card (face up, next to the gum), a pack may look like this: #58 Clark Kellogg #123 Buck Williams #57 Michael Jordan #122 Gerald Wilkins #56 Vinnie Johnson #121 Dominique Wilkins #55 Steve Johnson #120 Spud Webb #54 Marques Johnson #119 Bill Walton #53 Magic Johnson #118 Jay Vincent Any pack that comes out in perfect alphabetical order has been repacked.

86-87 Fleer are famous for being in the same order in the pack. When I saw the same scrub in both packs and Alex English stickers I’m thinking those are resealed packs.

They were searched because cards always stayed in the same order. You wouldn't have 2 Pat Cummings without other duplicates

im a little late to the party but that 1st fleer pack was 100000% resealed fleer goes in a specific sequence. you can actually tell by the first card if a jordan "should" or "should not" be in the pack unless the sequence resets somewhere along the pack.

With the Charles Barkley it is off center by a noticeable amount and there appeared to be a tiny scuff on the card (as well as a slightly bent top left corner) from what I could see so if graded you’re probably looking at a 7 or an 8. Also I just noticed some residue stuck to the card from something so now it’s a 6 to a 7 imo. Hopefully this helps if you intend on grading it.

Be aware that any player from the 86’-87’ Fleer set in mint 10 condition, is still worth hundreds or thousands to certain collectors. A RU-vidr showed two sales of mid level players that hardly anybody knows sold for like $10k. I would send off all the cards that are mint to PSA

Once that Barkley popped up, there was no way that there was also going to be a Jordan in that same pack! Interesting about this set,..most all the pictures of the players were taken in Los Angeles. Either at a Laker home game at The Forum, or, at a Clipper home game at the L.A. Sports Arena

Unfortunately both packs were resealed. Neither had proper sequence. Interestingly, the Clark Kellogg is one of the cards that you need in order to get a Jordan. The Jordan should have come two cards later.

They tossed in a Barkley RC to avoid suspicion. Saw the same thing with an Isiah Thomas RC in a pack and a Dominique Wilkins RC too.. Neither of the 3 cards mentioned will grade a GMMT 10.. Those packs are selling for $225 or more each. So walking away with net +$350 is a win for the scammer.

It is Barkley’s rookie card. ‘86 Fleer was the rookie card for several studs because no other cards were made for a few years till then. Congrats on sweet hit!!!

Packs were resealed 100% without a doubt. There is an exact order for all 1986 fleer packs and neither pack followed that. The Barkley is a PSA 1 with the front damage so the pack resealer just made it look legit and threw it in.

The main reason you guys don't see people talking about what they pulled on tcgo is because packs on tcgo are mainly used as trade fodder for the good cards. For example, dedenne gx from unbroken bonds usually goes for around 26 packs of the most recent set on tcgo

The Barkley card is his first nationally distributed card. His actual rookie card may be in the Star card sets which were distributed on a local state level. So his card would have been first available in Pennsylvania while Jordan's card would have appeared in Illinois.

in jordans case and i'm assuming barkley the reason these are their "rookie cards" is because they did not make actual rookie cards in their rookie year so this is the first year they made cards where these players are available hence making it their "rookie" cards.

It's his actual rookie card. They fleer and topps didnt make basketball cards from like 82-86. Star cards that were sold in arenas were all that were available and they are considered to be xrc rookies.
