So last week Michael was praising Aaron Boone for having a .600 winning percentage. But now it's not his fault that they can't win because the lineup is so bad? So Boone gets credit for the wins but excused for the losses?
The main problem is the farm system does not produce good players and they fail to pick up useable free agents in the off season, Nimmo, JD Martinez, ? Etc. etc.
Years ago Mike Francesa said this about Boone and it’s dead on. Boone isn’t the problem but he isn’t the answer either. He’s a fine manager and that’s all he is.
The roster is so limited, non athletic and worst of all inflexible. Mets showed an easy way to limit the ability of the lineup, walk judge , careful with Soto and nobody else can beat you

What kills me is that the team wasn’t a good roster before the injuries, then when the injuries happen because Yankees r always hurt, then Michael says this isn’t a good roster. The Yankees don’t make moves to prepare for injuries, especially from the same people who keep getting injured

The Yankees problems are Giancarlo not accepting he's hurting the team and not retiring, Rizzo not accepting his career is over and not retiring, DJ not accepting his career is over and not retiring to give the Yankees the payroll freedom they need to get better. Cashman needs to go he single handlely put this team in incredible debt and they can't make any trade without selling the future of minor leaguers.

People crying over Michael Kay being a fan boy. He was a life long Yankee fan who grew up in the Bronx. It's also his employer for a super cushy job. Tf you expect him to to say? If you wanna bitch at anyone it should be Hal and Cashman. Boone honestly should be praised for them being where they're at record wise and in the standings. The Yankees are an organizational failure, it’s not one man’s fault, the entire apparatus is to blame, from the ownership to the GM to the manager to the players. They’re all underperforming period.
