About The Voice of Ireland:
Based on the international hit format, The Voice of Ireland is looking for the best singing talent that Ireland has to offer. The Voice of Ireland will consist of three phases: The Blind Auditions, The Battles and The Live Shows. During these stages our 4 coaches, Kian Egan, Rachel Stevens, Una Foden and Bressie will help mentor their acts in the hope that one of them will become the next Voice of Ireland.

Michael has an amazing talent a true star on stage. He was born to sing. A guy who is so modest and full of gratitude deserves every moment of his fame. "The voice of Ireland 2016"

I have to admit that I was amazed that he beat the other finalist. Nice lad and all that he obviously is, and a decent if unremarkable voice and a rather wooden delivery. Lots of people are shocked. The other finalist could sing really well, had fantastic dance moves, and had great stage presence and looks. A complete package. It must be true what Cian said. Women will not vote for other women, especially really cute ones.

Wooden is a bit unfair, it's an emotional song and didn't require gimmicks or stage theatrics. It was to show case his voice. All the acts were great on the night but Michael has the potential to go further. He's still a blank canvas.

No , you misunderstand me a little here. I thought Michael was a bit wooden throughout the whole show, not just this song. Its mostly just a physical thing, like his arm movements. Just not fluid and smooth. Awkward looking, but probably down to a mix of his youth and being tall and a bit gangly so to speak. It could probably be tuned out of him. I thought his voice was decent, but not really that special. Nigel struck me as by far the best voice in the whole show. The two ladies in the last 4 had very nice voices if not outstanding, with the older and far more experienced Salesa being a bit stronger and with a noticeably stronger stage presence and great dance moves. As described by Una as the total package.

+James Marshall Yip Nigel and Kelesa have been round the block a few time and it showed. the public voted Michael and with a bit of luck he'll be well managed and grow through this experience. Wish them all the best. Great experience

It showed in a good way you mean, right ??? Really, they were far stronger performers, which is not a huge surprise, but they are super talented, and either should have won. Clearly Michael benefited hugely by the young female fan base that tends to vote on these shows. Michael seems like a nice lad and I wish him well nevertheless.

Every year the people I vote for don't win!! Apart from 2013 when I did vote for Brendan. But last year I voted for Emma and she came second (really should have won) and this year I voted for Kelesa and Jasmine. Like Michael is a good singer, but I don't think he ever topped his audition. And honestly I thought he was the worst of the 4 finalists. Laura's performance of yours, Nigel's performance of Live and let die and Kelesa's performance of Sax all destroyed Michael

+Jack O Donovan His voice has a very special quality / tone. I called it in the quarter finals. With the right management, this young man will be smash it. I also thought the others were amazing and the pressure is immense, so I say more power to them all and wishing them all the success in the world. I wish I could sing half as well
