This is great to see Michael online- I think 'attitude' is always our downfall and it was Michael's, he wasn't thankful for what he had, or didn't see what he had- how many of us are guilty of that-Good Luck for your future Michael
My Paternal ancestry almost 250 years here as a American / Yankee, the most famous LEE arguably Robert E. Lee Confederate Civil War General. son of Henry Lee Governor of Virginia. .. But my Paternal family name LEE goes back to England.......I am proud of my U K Cousin Mike LEE.... But the LEE Family name is Keeping it Real in the U S in addition to the U K, ....My pop General Jerry Lee is a International Drag Racing / Wheelstanding Champion, my younger brother Handsome Hoss Lee following in the old man's footsteps. ...I am the 1st LEE American Speedway Rider having won many Races and a Championship... I am also a National Heavyweight KARATE Champion....Then we have another cousin, the U S Rockstar Tommy Lee of Motley Crue.... Multi platnum award winning musician....I don't see the sucess of us LEE"s whether in the U K or the U S over yet... Perhaps the best is yet to come!... moral of this story is the LEE's are still Keeping it Real and making History!
I was at Ullevi when Michael won the world title in 1980 and was also at the Mildura Masters in Australia in January 1981, when he pulled out of the meeting halfway through and the rumour in the crowd was that he had gone for a dip in the river behind the track to cool off (it was roasting hot that day)! I'd love to know if that was true, even after all these years!
