He is with the band, Doobie Brothers. They have some really cool songs too, even before he joined the band. Many artists have used him to sing backup vocals. You’ve probably heard him without knowing it. Good reaction.

And part of the lyrics for this song were sampled from an even older song. That's how crazy it works. It's multi-layered sampling over decades creating hit after hit.

Smart hip hop artists know where to go for killer samples. Glad you enjoyed the original. Steely Dan is sampled like crazy and Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell. I was gonna recommend Bobby Caldwell “What You Won’t Do For Love” but looks like you found that gem.

"Black Cow" - Steely Dan Same thing...within 2 seconds you'll recognize the sample. Steely Dan a fav among the Old School hip-hop elite. De La, Tribe, Blackstar, The Roots. In fact there's a vid of Talib Kwali talking about Steely Dan. Hope you check them out.

Sampling has been a controversy since The Sugar Hill Gang sampled Good Times from Chic to do Rappers Delight sometime in the 70s I think.

Would you consider some Zydeco/Cajun and African beats as well? Maybe some Blues, if someone suggested it? What about Comedy? I'm asking because I want you to get your numbers up just like you do.
