Michael Monroe with Axl Rose - Dead, Jail or Rock n' Roll 

You can say that again. Conveniently, Wall Street Journal just made an article about Michael Monroe being one of the most important yet unknown key figures in rock n' roll. One can't but agree when that's probably the only thing that even Slash and Axl agree upon.

I'm pleased that Axl had a chance to perform with his idol Michael, I think they are fans bothways. That was ROCK in the capital letters!

Yes, they really the same age, Axl is born Januari 6, 1962. Michael had his breakthrough before Axl, and I don't think he was Axl's childhood idol, but rather Axl's idol when he was about 20 or in his late teens. About 5 years later axl got his breakthrough with Guns'n'Roses.

There is no need for any guests really, Michael Monroe is such a perfect frontman in his own right, he sings well, have fantastic energy and I love the acrobatics. But of course it's nice with guests in videos, and it works well here.

I love what GnR "was" and they will always be one of the best bands for the style that they had and the type of music that they played. I can still remember when Welcome to the Jungle premiered on Head Bangers Ball lol. I read old interview where Michael says something about the name of the song. Some biker of Hell's Angels used to come visit him in his NYC apartment and mentioned whether his buddies are dead or in jail. Maybe that gave him an idea for a song: "DEAD, JAIL or ROCK n ROLL".

Axl never sung on the record.He just turned up for the video shoot, since Axl & the Hanoi guys hung out together at the time.

@kaaremann No my friend ! its about Vince Neil who Axl had a famous feud with in the media . Michael Monroe has always been a good friend to GNR and still jam with some of the old members . He also plays Sax on " Bad Obsession" of Use Your Ilusion 1 . Hanoi Rocks was a huuuge influence on gnr . I would also guess Michael Monroe isn't to friendly with Vince Neil since he was the one responsible for the death of Hanoi Rocks drummer Razzle .
