Ollie Wride (FM 84) is omnipresent artistically on "Odyssey" 👀 🌟 I thought it was only Michael Oakley. The song "Is There Anybody out There" is my NUMBER ONE of my actual playlist, ON REPEAT since the release 😎 GREAT GREAT SONG 👏
It’s funny how some albums are instant and others are not, when I first heard introspect I couldn’t stop listening to it, I would sing along to all of the songs and I still do, it’s a fantastic album, with odyssey it wasn’t instant on the whole, there were a couple that immediately stood out, queen of hearts which could’ve been right at home on introspect, and real life, but the other songs didn’t grab straight away but over the last couple of months I feel this album has really grown and and is also a fantastic album but I don’t think when stars collide really fits on this album, I just feel the beat seems kind out of place on this album, for me it’s the beat, but overall fantastic and I hope to acquire this on cassette 👍🏻
Wonderful album Michael. Like all of your work, the production is spotless and the overall feel is of elegance. What got me right away with this one, in contrast with your previous catalog, is the more serious tone, maybe more personal ? But at the same time it captures perfectly in sonic form that hyper-optimistic zeitgeist of the early 90's, before grunge and hip-hop turned the music scene mean and cynical.
Примерно такой саунд я ждал от игры Cyberpunk 2077, а еще атмосферы прокуренного, мрачного, но в то же время интеллигентного неонуара. Эх... жаль, что там такого довольно мало...
