Dear Michael, I´m In awe listening to this lecture, so rich in details , delightfully narrated , like becoming hooked on a killer tv show in which i can´t resist rushing to episode 2. Also, I sense an echo of the Brahms f minor Sonata op.5 , 2nd movement in the achingly beautiful Romance by Clara in B minor op. post, may be it´s just my imagination . Thank You for keeping this excellent channels and lectures available on RU-vid, in an era of saturated noise.
Terrific! Thank you so much for this insightful and thoroughly researched lecture - it is also so helpfully humanizes Brahms and both of the Schumanns.
Thank you so much for such an enlightening look into this most fascinating musical triangle. I just started learning the Variations opus 9, and it was a wonderful surprise to find so much insight about this work in your lecture. Thank you! On to Part 2!
