I like Penix. I believe giving him a year to sit and watch Kirk run the offense and time to work with Zack Robinson will be beneficial to his development. I think he is going to be special, we just have to be patient

Honestly most qbs should sit for a year, especially with how complex offensive and defensive schemes have become. Brees, Brady, Rodgers, mahomes, love, all these qbs were able to sit and learn before their time to start. I mean when I started my first job I wasn't 100% ready after all my college years so I can't imagine what it's like as an NFL QB.

I think Terry know what type players he and raheem need and want.Takk, Vic Beasley and Davidson the defensive tackle were drafted by the old regime. I think dmitroff drafted need over most talented. That's why we didn't have good depth.Also got desperate drafting takk missed out on TJ Watt and Jj Watt !

You'll love him. As a Husky, I was skeptical too. Because of the injuries. But wow. Also go back and watch one of his first big interviews with Robert Griffin. He asked Penix about his NIL money. Penix chose instead to focus on the charity he was working with. (A real charity not a BS charity set up for athletes. I worked w them years before that interview). He's a team first over achiever people who play for him love and want to run through walls for Easy guy to root for.

Not guaranteed you get him then. Teams would know that the Falcons would be targeting a QB and then the Falcons would have run the risk of other teams trading up ahead of them for Penix. The Falcons having Kirk already signed probably made other teams assume the Falcons wouldn't draft a QB.

I may be reading too much into this, but what up with the running back we got from Alabama? When he got selected his demeanor was kinda subdued. Couldn't tell if he was happy or anything. And now he is the only one of the rookies that didn't do an interview. Not trying to start nothing just find it interesting. I would like to think he was at camp. Probably the media forgot to get with him.
