Why did they take it so surprised? Hungary has always been a nation with great IM, Fly and Breaststroke swimmers. It is so nice to see a country who is not a superpower dominates the event. ❤️
I love Milak's technique, incredibly smooth. I love the way he takes his time in each turn to set himself: 4 dolphin kicks, one pull with no kick and there he goes, rhythmical, both kicks equally powerful, perfect timing. Absolute perfection.
@@danielbensen6248 Both equally smooth, dare I say Milak even smoother?! Phelps used the walls a lot more, but that's not necessarily the key to fastest times as we can see.
@@DonostiGros in events like the 100 free or 200 free, the winner is basically determined by the underwaters. thats was why phelps was so good in those events. in something like 200 fly, efficiency is the key to winning, which milak is very good at, as we can see the video.
I mean... he just took 3rd in worlds. I'm pretty sure it works for him. I agree sprinting the first 100 isn't a good idea but I wouldn't say hes doing anything wrong since hes at that level
RegretOsu! true, but you’ll always see him out first and then losing in the back half of the two fly. the only time i’ve seen him successful with that strategy is 2012 olympics
@@dylanh8659 yeah, a fly and die strategy is only really gonna be successful tapered, and even then it would really take a lot of energy and fine tuning to last like he did in 2012
1.20: "There was some chatter on the deck that this 19 year old kid has the chance to break the world record tonight. I can't imagine that." 3:28 "Holy smokes. I never would have predicted 1:50.73" 4:04: "One of the great world records goes down and not only does it go down, it's destroyed." ❤❤❤
@@ConeDaRagusa yes and another thing I noticed is that when his hands touch water, you can barely see water splashing. It's similar to Michael Phelps' stroke
I'm watching this again and again and holy smokes, more than 3 seconds faster than the 2nd place which is Seto. AND he is just 19. The 1:50 barrier of 200 fly is in sight to be broken.
Now now don't ignore the fact that the man from Italy who came fourth with a 1:54 is just 17 ....expecting something from him as well as Luca urlando at the junior world's !!!
Americans put a “best of” screen up of their retired athetes in events they competed before start? I am surprised but also not really surprised, thats a very American thing to do
Is this the same commentator that said that Dressel could go for a 44.7 in the 100m freestyle SCM during the ISL? Apart from this, he really should do some research about non US swimmers. This is what happens when you just know your swimmers, that you get surprised.
He only takes 4 dolphin kicks and doesn't even kick on the first stroke. It seems counterintuitive to typical teachings, but it worked for him. Congrats to Kristof! Now it's time for someone to break down his technique.
Milák Kristóf is the best! 👍 This swimming is unbelievable, and he beat Phelps! So, "magic" Phelps loss race against Čavić on 100, but .....Kristóf beat of the "legend"! Gratitude! 🤗
but he has that record from 2018. He swum a 1:52.71 during the nationals, in late march, or something like that and the best time from an international competion was 1:52.79 from Glasgow, which pool is relativly slow, compared to a world championship level pool. And the most important thing, this was his only competition in the summer of 2019. A year before he was still a junior, and won 4 gold medals at the european junior swimming championship.
Thanks! 🤣 The guy got so flustered he forgot his own language. I would like him to apologise by saying it in Hungarian: we call our country Magyarország. 😂
Kristóf lesz - nagy valószínűséggel - a magyar- és egyetemes úszósport egyik következő állócsillaga. Michael Phelps teljesítménye azonban hatalmas, és éppen ezért tiszteletet érdemel.
He now won gold at 200 m butterfly and silver at 100 m butterfly at the Tokyo Olympics. He actually said he couldn't have done the second feat a year earlier.
Old question but it's because humans are reaching the biological plateau. We can only run/swim so fast within our limit. Running as been a competition for much longer than swimming so swimming has a lot of room for improvement.
@Miki Maki latom a tobbi kommented tudom h magyar v te nagyokos. Azert az eleg szomoru h annak ellenere h az orszagunk egy sz*rfeszek, az ilyen kis sikereknek se tudsz örülni.
Have you seen his two incredible time from this week. He just swam a 1:51,40 in the morning. Thanks to the Olympics schedule, the hungarian championship finals are in the morning. And his 200 freestlye time is gonna be great too. He is capable to swim under 1:45 in the relay already.
¿Alguien me puede hacer el enorme favor de informarme del estado de salud mental del Sr.Phelps ya que hace poco hizo declaraciones muy sentidas que parecen revelar un gran conflicto interno? Muchas gracias
