People can have their critiques on boost formula and their games (and i think they are mostly valid and i can agree on some of them) but nahhh there's just so much replayability and sense of speed that its just so... lovely :P
I don’t know what you’re talking about with Shadow the Hedgehog: any game that’s so unabashedly edgy and self-confident that the protagonist can pump a semiautomatic machine gun is a masterpiece in my book.
*This is based on my experiences* Sonic 1: noice Sonic 2: noice Sonic CD: a bit rich but ok Sonic 3&K: great, really great Sonic Mania: cherry on the top Sonic Adventure 1: peach syrup Sonic Adventure 2: peach syrup again Sonic Heroes: ice cream Sonic Rush&Rush Adventure: really good Shadow the Hedgehog: cooking oil Riders: great, really great Sonic 06: jelly stuff (though I think it could've been the best Sonic game ever and I feel bad for saying this) Secret Rings: I don't like it very much... Riders Zero Gravity: a bit rich but ok Sonic Unleashed: ice cream Black Knight: noice Free Riders: jelly stuff Sonic Colors: noice Sonic Generations: great, really great Sonic Lost World: alright,I said alright Sonic Boom: never seen anything quite so horrible Sonic Forces: soggy cake Sonic Frontiers: *haven't played it yet,but it seems like a "and everything was lovely once again, wonderful"*
I will Agree 06 could’ve been the best of yk, maybe don’t add a princess, and maybe not use the egg man design, and maybe burn the gameplay and build it better from scratch, and maybe burn the whole games story and make it to where it actually makes sense, and maybe make Mephiles a much more interesting Villain instead of a Shadow Clone
My favorite part of sonic 06 was when Elsie said “it’s making out with roadkilling time” and got down with dead sanic the hadge hag. The best moment in gaming history hands down equivalent to the poop my pants and morbin time in cinema.
Shadow the hedgehog was decent! While I'll admit they could've adjust some of the Mechanics, they work decently to get through the stages. I.e, the ark/ lost impact.
Even as a kid, who loved shoot em ups, looked at Shadow (2005) and I thought “why in the world does Shadow have GUNS?” Then I had an aneurism of laughter when it was revealed the “black ops bad guys kinda-sorta” were called GUN 🤣 🤣 But I’ll admit though, I had tons of fun playing Shadow; even if it didn’t fully feel like a “Sonic” game per-se
@@blackgamerguy17 It's a Sonic game, glitches are par for the course. Ironically, Shadow The Hedgehog is actually one of the _least_ glitchy Sonic games, at least in terms of the 3D games.
I used to play Sonic Unleashed when I was like, 9, it was really fun, I even enjoyed the Werehog stages, but Eggmanland almost made me slam my console, it was hard as hell ngl, to this day I haven't beaten it, but im looking forward to beat it.
Still waiting for someone to recognize the Sonic Rush series. The first Sonic Rush was the first Sonic game to have the boost and Blaze. It came in 2005 a year before 06. I said that just so people don’t say Blaze was in 06 first. Then we Sonic Rush Adventure. It pretty much improves everything from the first game.
To be honest… sonic 06 is my favorite sonic game The amount of glitches makes it a fun experience because it makes it fun.. especially the teleport gem because you get to go out of bounds and see cool things! The graphics were good! The story line was *kinda* good! But the kiss scene is garbage… but it’s still fun Get rid of the heart on this comment 😤
Sonic lost world was great, but it was so different, and that's why I like it. Not every sonic game is exactly the same that another, and that's why I like playing Sonic games
Since Shattered Crystal and Fire & Ice are overshadowed by Rise Of Lyric, I’d give them these ratings: SC: I don’t think it’s funny F&I: A bit rich but okay
Umm, can you please explain to me why u skipped Sonic 3, CD, and various other games? That's not exactly accurate to the theme of every game but this was decent regardless. Also Unleashed is my favorite Sonic game, hands down
I really cannot bring myself to hate 06 because while it's obviously unfinished and had questionable direction, it still makes people laugh with either awkward pacing or glitchy moments. Cannot say the same about Boom and Forces (ESPECIALLY Forces).
Plus it had an excellent soundtrack and while the game is mainly remembered for Sonic's laughably bad story, Shadow and Silver did honestly have decent character arcs.
Me neither If SEGA weren't retarded money hungry chimpanzees and were sensible enough to give it an extra year It could have easily been atop the best games in the franchise, if not by enjoyability (Becuz yunno, playstyles) then by sheer effort and ambition
At least sonic 06 is funny bad and had such memorable moments like "it's no use" or silver getting kicked in the head Sonic boom and forces are just so bland and terrible
*based on my experience* Sonic 1: “it’s alright, I said alright.” Sonic 2: “noice” Sonic 3&k: “noice” Sonic spinball: “a bit rich but, ok.” Sonic adventures DX directors cut: “ice cream, peaches, syrup, jellies” (the best basically) Sonic adventures 2: “peach syrup” Sonic heros: “peach syrup” Shadow the hedgehog: “noice” Sonic riders: “pffftttt” Sonic 06: “oil” Sonic forces: “*stare*”
It's getting less of a hot take these days but I liked Unleashed better than Colors. Sure the werehog stages were bad but it was bearable if you just ran through them and did combat as little as possible. The day stages really captured the incredible feeling of speed Sonic should be known for. Colors feels slow by comparison, likely due to the heavier emphasis on tight platforming. However Sonic's movement doesn't really suit it. He builds momentum way too quick, making the 2d parts not fun to platform through and the 3d parts not fun to speed through.
Maybe you won't agree with me, but I like sonic 06, yeah, the game have a lot of bugs, and huge problems with optimisation, but gameplay for each character is different, balanced, and interesting, even gameplay for tails), and the music, music is just fucking great, and level design too, but story have lots of problems, but anyway, in the end circumstances will cancel, and you shouldn't worry about the princess
No sonic 3 or sonic & knuckles? it feels incomplete without those 2 otherwise amazing and mostly quite accurate I did enjoy shadow the hedge, pretty much agree with everything else, excellent editing
