Legit, if he ends up being the main Antagonist of Y8, I can’t forgive RGG Studios, unless they build him up to the role, only to swiftly kill him off and bring in a new yet MUCH better developed and beloved character.
He's definitely disposable and i feel rgg studios will make him just random fodder for sudden karmic death. probably after a quick third go at the ichi squad though
@@RobertEdwinHouse9 ah yes, going directly against the protagonist's wishes and taking away a family member forcibly, definitely a good thing. Never mind the entire message of the game about grey areas or anything
@@RobertEdwinHouse9 there was a ton of better ways to kill him, but no, lets spawn the random guy with insane killer instinct that somehow found them in a entire, big and super populated city, and also somehow ichiban didn't see him although he had the uniform and there is only to ways to get there
I hope to see Michael Rosen describe the mainline characters in the series. Majima: "that's when my brain starts doing things, you know... murderers and Mad Dog stuff".
I’ll be honest, Shibusawa felt underwhelming to me. Not a fan of a character who doesn’t show most of what they do, then last second act like the true endgame villain. I’d rather see what they do rather than hear.
Is nishiki disliked? I’m asking cuz I just started playing yakuza 0 and now my feed is just yakuza video memes and most of the jokes seems like he’s not very well liked?
@@awakenedb7256 No boss fight was fine, he wasn't that tough though. Also with the way he behaved with Haruka (nicer than many villains) and how he doesn't hold anything personal doesn't make him look intimidating at all. I think he's a rather weak villain, we don't naturally get to learn more about him. He's just an errand boy and that's about it
0:38 god I hated this boss he was such a wussy. He kept running like a lil bitch and shooting his gun while his other 2 goons were killing me. Really was not fun. The other bosses are fine but kuze, shibisawa, nishki (kiwami), and I honestly can't think of any others but those 3 were the best. The music and the moveset how can you not like those boss fights.
@@alechough6248 honestly I don't remember.. all I remember is I played 3 once and I hated it. Though its a short game so it wasn't that bad, but the combat sucked and the story wasn't as good as the last or the ones after.
I think he was a great villain and perfectly suits to final boss of Yakuza 6. He's what a real yakuza is. He's willing to do anything to rise through the yakuza world and as such he doesn't have any moral ethics, he's cold blooded like a real organized crime boss. He's not the worthy opponent you'd expect to face instead he's the embodiment of a yakuza.
@@julianius484 I'll say this: a real yakuza has morals, no matter how low they are. To say that Iwami is the embodiment of yakuza is, honestly, a spit in the face to the yakuza.
Kuroiwa has more vibes of a “final boss” than Kuwana, yes, but the later was more a fight of ideals rather than strength, so that's why the climax in LJ feels way different than in Judgment. It's kinda like comparing Tendo with Aoki Ryo in Like a Dragon. Their fights are meant to be different in order to deliver certain types of feelings. Not every final boss has to be the strongest enemy in the game. For me, if Akutsu would've been the final boss, it would be really anticlimatic imo. He may physically be the strongest, but he doesn't carry the same narrative weight that Souma or Kuwana have.
In a way, it's nice that it's a guy Kiryu genuinely wants to kill. He represents 6's story of fathers and children pretty well, although I do wish he had a tougher boss fight and had some more development.
Same with Shindo, for a mf who assisted on a massacre in his own clan just for some milf action, he has a banger of a theme that he truly doesn't deserve lol
Kuroiwa was a very intimidating villain, and the mystery that surrounded his identity during the whole game was top. But apart from that, Souma is a much more interesting villain in every way. Kuroiwa is just in the end a crazy serial killer. His character actually doesn't offer that much.
@@johanngaiusisinwingazuluah2116 That's true, but just like Soma used a knife against Yagami and almost killed him, Kuroiwa was about to shoot Yagami with a gun after the first fight, if it wasn't for the Chief Prosecutor interfering
Sawashiro was done so well for how little screen time he got; I hope we get to see more of him down the line! He'd fit in nicely with the theme of Ichi's party members being on the older side, while still having skills to make some magic!
@@pocdavactube3475 Am i missing something? He isn't a plot twist villain, his motivations make sense and fit the message of the Game, why do people hate him i still don't understand it
@@pocketcircuitfighter6291 He's like Shibusawa, but at least Shibusawa had a really epic boss fight with multiple phases. The fight between him and Kiryu was also personal. Iwami was just an asshole. Even Kiryu says he's nothing to him.
Seriously, the stuff between him and Morinaga could have easily been written better. Make Morinaga the son of Kurosawa, and Aizawa feels betrayed because of Morinaga's actions. He kills Morinaga after feeling betrayed, and then tries to take control of Tojo Clan in his own way. He becomes the victim of the story, and is caught up in schemes he doesn't deserve to be a part of.
I’m glad I am not the only one who’s really like Goda Ryuji and think he’s great! Since I seen some hatred on reddit thread keep shitting on him. I feel like I maybe the only one who like him. Glad this vid prove me wrong.
What even happened to the funny policeman from yakuza 4 (and no i do not mean tanimura i mean the boss) like he didn't die cuz he apperantly can't (or hamazaki killed him i don't remember lol)
i uh.....i actually like Kanai and Munakata. Not the characters, but their boss batles. I only like Munakata beccause i had the full set of tree armor blocking his bullets. I like Kanai's final boss so much due to the awesome ost and beccause i ot to use all of my crowd controll moves on them. It felt like a fair chalange to me, and i was on hard mode.
I kept doing throws and it was nice hearing him click that gun and me rushing to do heat actions. Didn't have tree armor but battle difficulty is overrated. The theme is so epic too, feel like it represents Tanimura more than him. I enjoyed Kanai's boss fight too, got a lot of combos in and the extreme mode as well. OST is alright though.
@@jlmoodhd7415 Yeah I didn't expect it either, now I see people saying Like a Dragon and then I can expect spoilers for the whole series. This one didn't say that.
