@@jacobb4795 Season 6 Episode 21 "Happy Hour" Its the episode where everyone goes to the bar and Jim and Pam try setting Michael up with one of her friends, when he realizes what theyre doing he switches to his "Date Mike" persona and ruins the date. Its also where he meets Donna, the woman who was cheating on her husband with him.
That’s kinda the point tho. At the call center job he doesn’t hold a position of power, so he doesn’t have to fight this constant uphill battle of trying to be the likable boss. Instead, he can just be Michael, and not actively try to impress everybody, which as we know, doesn’t work.
@@erex9875 i think the manager thought the cameras were there for investigation for any shady things they were doing hence he said they had a license and is also paying minimum wage against commision
@@tanleelee268 A draw against commission is regular pay you give a commissioned employee. It is essentially an advance that is subtracted from the employee's commissions. ... When you give the employee their draw, subtract it from their total commissions. At the end of the month, you would pay the employee any remaining commissions.
2:32 I love the fact Stanley giving interview over the phone which implies that he was not annoyed of call and documentary crew but of hearing Michael's voice
“When I’m at home at night in my own house in my sweats drinking some red wine and watching my mystery stories, the *LAST* thing in the whole god forsaken world I want to hear is the voice of Michael Scott……..” Stanley is hilarious!
It was around this time in the show when Michael really started growing on me. He was so attached to Jan even when she’d repeatedly stomp on his heart...
I cried for real in this episode. He was so sad and exaust, but It seems everyone was trying to make him feel worse, specially that jerk Ryan who's always trying to belittle Michael. Ryan is the character I hate the most in the show cuz he is totally ungrateful to Michael who was the person that was most suportive to him in the beginning of his career
Ryan is his boss and he wanted him to do a presentation. Michael didn’t, and Ryan was understandably annoyed that he didn’t listen to him. And he was right, Michael can’t have two jobs if one of them is going to impact his performance.
Stanley's attitude was because Michael was a bad boss. Imagine you trying to do your job as best as you can and having your boss calling meetings to have his improve shows. And if this is not bad enough, your boss calls you also after work hours. Also remember that Stanley's Dundies was for fine work.
@@sfappetrupavelandrei and stanley could have left to find another job. That's what any sensible person would do. The fact he stated is only because he likes the fat that Michael allowed him to come in late or take long lunches
I love how later in the episode, the people of the call center genuinely liked Michael talking about movies and stuff, also wanted to have beers with him, heartwarming.
Did you forget what happened in the Dinner Party episode? That’s exactly why they don’t want to hang out with him. When Erin and Gave invited Michael, he acted like a child and threw tantrums. Michael Scott is a terrible person who wants to hang out with the cool kids so he can feel liked. Did you forget how he treated anyone he didn’t think was cool, like Toby, Phyllis or Meredith?
Call centres are one of the worst places to work trust me. Everything is so depressing plus you have to keep up with non-stop calls. Really feel bad for Michael here..
Jim & pam are so mean here.... I mean they asked Michael for dinner when they knew he's busy .... On top of that, they knew how bad Michael will feel about it.
@@charliedeguil1415 Worst case scenario you'll get laptop batteries. And before you get too upset take into consideration that those batteries are lithium. Pretty sweet deal.
1:28 Such a terrific take on the reality of such calls... The sale that Michael is pitching is about Weight Loss and this scene... Subtle and Brilliant!!
Apart from following him to his second job, I love how the camera crew decided to just call Stanley to get his input, rather than waiting the next day. XD
At this moment of the series, I felt so bad for Michael that I was asking myself when I rewatched season 2 I was like “how do I fall piteous for Michael again??” This scene shows his persistence at pleasing Jan and keeping himself going. That’s bloody inspiring.
This whole segment with him working a second job is actually really sad - just goes to show how much Jan actually used him and how much he let her walk all over him.
It was kinda sad and funny seeing how Michael was able to easily befriend his Telemarketing co-workers when he has failed so much to become friends with the people at Dunder Mifflin. There, the only ones you could be sure that genuinely see him as a friend (at the moment of this episode's events) could be Jim, Dwight, Pam, maybe Kevin and Andy and give or take Phyllis. Michale tries SO HARD at Dunder Mifflin he ruins his own chances.
No one talks about how Michael hangs up on Stanley but then the camera crew clearly must've called him back just so he could give a confessional where he's bitching about Michael lol
I love how Michael just makes the situation worse when he accidentally called Stanley even though it could’ve been avoided by him saying he didn’t know it was him.
It's so funny how Michael didn't turned off his mic after he left Dundler Mifflin and they could record his call at the second job without even being there lol
I just watched this episode on peacock. The part where the boss defends his company is NOT in the episode. Absolutely ridiculous to slash and splice the episodes for their shitty streaming service
