This shows you just how great Michael Schenker still is and also just how great a singer Phil Mogg was because none of these guys comes close to Phil. A wonderful songwriting team that unfortunately didn't get the recognition they deserved.
Definitely! Too bad Phil's health condition doesn't allow him to tour anymore and most of the original UFO members are Resting In Peace, I would have paid a month's wages to see the original line up. UFO's heritage will live on for a loooong time though.
Been a fan since hearing his solo on "Rock Botton" back in 1974. He's had his ups and downs but I'm glad to see he's playing with his past singers Gary Bardon, Robin McCauley and Graham Bonnet.
Can you believe that he is still rocking his ass off after 4 F-ing DECADES !!! Micheal Schenker is the Grand Godfather of guitar rock licks , Wow !!! what an honor it was to see him in New Orleans at the Hard Rock on a week night with Uli Roth. and now this treat here and then he played with the Scorpions major tour in 2019 , when Schenkers parents got together God blessed rock music and the world,
Saw UFO in the mid nineties at the Electric Ballroom. Felt like I was 16 all over again. Leaning over the stage air guitaring to the blistering MS leads. He walked over and handed me his pick afterward. A true rock legend.
Two words: GOD DAMN! That was brilliant playing and I'd put it up against any other rocker, metal head, Djent or whatever you want out there against him. Michael Schenker is a badass and he uses no gimmicks - no big hair, no makeup, nail polish, high heels, or flash guitars with special effects. He just comes out and rocks your balls off with tasteful riffs and solos that are killer sick!
I agree with you completely!! It's good to see Michael and Gary together, they have the best of his sound together to me. I really like him because he doesn't sugar coat it, just rocks out and celebrates his songs. I've been buying up both DVD and CD copies of his live shows, especially right now 2020 pandemic times where we don't have shows to go to. On the bright side there's always a big flat screen and surround sound to watch the DVD stuff off of. I was SO jealous when Michael gave Eddie Trunk one of his V's on That Metal Show, that has to be one of Eddie's trophies.
Schenker channels the supernatural, his Demon is a hell of a guitar player. Uli Roth also has an excellent Demon guitar player, both are very fluid & melodic
I'm 57 and have been getting my world rocked by MICHAEL SCHENKER since I was a kid. He's only 11 years older than me. Damn, he has been kicking ass FOREVER!!!
Although "Rock bottom" and "Doctor doctor" are among the first classic, rock masterpieces that Michael wrote when he joined the UFO band, now, 5 decades after, they still feel quite fresh and they still kicks ass!
@@dwainphillips Almost all (rock) guitarists and bands today say they were influenced by UFO and Michael Schenker, up to the really big ones like Maiden and Metallica.
Yes and he influenced me lol I have a Michael Schenker signature Vs. The whole band were great. Pete was a beast, every song was very tight well played.
@@dwainphillips Michael Schenker definitely influenced me too, from the moment I saw UFO live on German TV in 1975 and I bought Force It. I even had the same 1975 Flying V back in 77/78 or so. Last year I was about to (finally) pull the trigger on a b&w Dean Schenker V when Gibson sent out their cease and desist, the mofo's, and boom, one day to another they were all taken offline, haven't seen one since. Bummer.
Hello 👋 How're you doing, it's been a long journey, and I'm nothing without amazing fans like you who appreciate my musical craftiness, All love to you and yours ❤️
Who Doesn't LOVE Michael Schenker...LEGEND, & a Totally Nice Guy in Person... I've met him a few times, & he was really nice & humble to talk to each time, Also met Robin McCauley, Cool Dude to...Always thought McCauley was Michael's best singer besides Phil Mogg of course...
I just had the good fortune of seeing Michael at the Neptune Theatre in Seattle Mar 22 2018. He played 2 and 3/4 hours !!!Rock pure rock. then the last 40 minutes were like a UFO concert , Rock Bottom , Doctor Doctor , Shoot Shoot, Natural Thing, and finally Lights out. Most awesome show ive seen in several years. Rock on Michael.
Thank you for sharing this gem !!!! 💎 I saw him last week in Barcelona on May 11/2022 for his 50th Anniversary of his Universal World Tour 2022 and it was an amazing performance!!!! Such a great guitarist !!!! Michael is unstoppable with all the renewed energy in excellent shape!!!! 💪 He is simply the best!!!! ❤️🎸🔥
Saw him a couple years ago on this tour. It was awesome. He was unbelievably brilliant. I recorded this track from about the same angle this is, concentrating on the maestro himself. After 8 minutes I was told to stop filming! Ohhh this is soooooo good! So good.
i can´t remember how often michael was in and out of Trouble due to stupid alcohol and drugs and still be able to Play guitar like no one else. Please, please, Michael, stay sober and stay around for a Long, Long, Long time ....
Thank You for posting This! It's a million times better than any of todays pro shot video that just gives you a head ache from split second shots. They totally Suck!!!
Michael Schenker group ans all the musicians in the group always great in my mind , good times !!! His rock style is exciting with alot of deep feeling
Saw UFO in '78 at the Chicago Amphitheater the night Strangers was taped and again MSG at the Avalon Ballroom in '80-something with Molly Hatchet... Those were the days.
When you lock, cooler and plays even better at his age /🥇🏅🥇🏅🥇 Always loved what he has done pure class, act from his debut/ Haha first gig he was 11 years old with Scorpions and join the the band 16 years old 😎 MSG SCORPIONS And UFO are his best works I know he has some other bands but those are the bands that was most important / And he is really just being better and better🏅🥇🏅🥇🏅👍😎👍
ukecuit I've met him also. An extremely gracious and kind man. Considering the TOTAL badasseri of his guitar playing he could act any way he wanted to. My personal favorite axeman of all time. I'm going to see MS FEST on Mar. 22. CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!
Michael's solos have never been second to none cause they've got a life of their own off the songs! They're like songs inside a song, not just a showoff up and down the fret.. Never played a solo twice the same in a row, always improvised, always with the highest melodic taste ever, always incredible. The Rock bottom one is really something else...
