_Michael's sense of humor is for those who can really pick out the fun in his character. His voice and eyes, his whole gesture and how he commented on his abs lol. I do hate that they killed him off because he was a very good actor, and I think that if he was to run and fight another day, they could have made him come back stronger and in control of his new found powers._

I think Michael Shannon is actually General Zod in person. I believe he can play ANY villain. Dude's face is just intimidating as hell ll. And Faora better come back, she was so amazing and gorgeous in MoS.

I think he deserved an award for his performance. Shannon's Zod character had a sort of tragic depth. He was evil, but I understood WHY, which gave an incredible dimension and made me feel a bit sorry for him.

Michael is so brilliant. The straight faced "planet please" at 2:31 was freakin hilarious.

For me ,these two actors made the movie. Antje - Beautifully devious character. Major crush on her now! LOL Michael - Best part of MOS. Henry, Amy, Russell etc..were great but Michael brought something extraordinary to the role of General Zod. Great piece of work Michael Shannon! Well done.

When his stomach growled, and Antje pointed that out so as to exonerate herself, it was so loud, I wondered if it had come from me.

This exactly why I prefer DC. Because they actually make you think about how these heroes and villains have repercussions in the real world. The film was a complete package and an epic journey from start to finish. I love the graphic novels used, the properly executed punchlines, and the background of the characters introduced. This movie did a great job showing the sheer power and destructive capabilities of Demi-gods/Superheroes/Heroes/Kryptonians under on Earth. I am insanely in love with this cinematography and combat sequence. Notice how the female characters didn't bash the man's masculinity or invoke any "girl power" nonsense? And still, they came off as a powerful female character in the movie. (WW, Faora, Luis Lane, Mera, HQ and Martha). That's good writing by Goyer, the Nolan brothers, and Zack Snyder. Also brilliant acting by everyone.

Michael Shannon was the better General Zod than the one from Superman II

Great actor as Zod

Antje is charming and unintentionally borderline promiscuous. And Michael Shannon is trying with all his willpower not to flirt with her and not even make eye contact with her. Look at him, he is so uncomfortable. While Antje can't stop being friendly, he is trying his best not to engage or even acknowledge her. Man, he is literally praying for this interview to end.
