We love Michael Singer’s work. As long as he and RU-vid allow us to post these videos, we will.
We do not receive ad revenue from these videos, but RU-vid may.
If you would like to learn more about Michael Singer’s work, here are a few suggestions:
- Every Sunday, Monday & Thursday, he releases talks at www.tou.org.
- Every Monday & Thursday night, he gives a live talk at his Temple of the Universe in Alachua, Florida. Anyone can attend for free.
- He’s written several books. They are phenomenal, even the ones written in the seventies. (We will receive a commission if you purchase books through these links.)

I am doing meditation and realizing how much junk I was living with. Regrets about the past, hate towards my parents.. are literally talking to me every minute. No wonder I had to take antidepresants. I really want to be free from them........ but it's not easy........ I've been living like that for so long

There's something that I find confusing about Michael's teachings. Sometimes he says that unpleasant feelings are just a part of being human and that you shouldn't try to stop that but then he also says that the reason you have those feelings is because in your mind you made up preferences about how the world should unfold and that without those preferences you would feel joy regardless of what happens. I believe some things are just inherently painful to experience (loss, heartbreak, betrayal...). Am I misunderstanding something?

I agree. Some things are inherently painful. I think Mickey would agree, as an example, if someone close to you dies, you will not feel joy. You will feel great sadness. But if you remain conscious as you go through the sadness and don't push it down, your experience of the pain will be less. You won't prolong the pain and you will reach a point where you can celebrate that person's life and feel joy when you recall them.

Yes, because, my goodness, we can certainly ALWAYS make things way worse by allowing our mind to carry on relentlessly. ❤
