Man! Numbers Never Lie, which eventually became His and Hers. I fucking loved that show. It's crazy, I was literally thinking about those days two days ago, wondering why it was canceled then I randomly open RU-vid today and see this. Smh
@@Saxandfifthsjemele and Micheal had a good thing with the his and hers podcast and tv show they fucked it up by ending it to do the 6 o clock sportscenter
Thank You Both for 4 years of great takes, laughs and fun! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾❤️🖤💚 This is a sad day for Black Sports Journalism!!!! You guys are amazing!!!! I’m a regular viewer! I get my analysis from you guys! Proud Black Men & Women who know what they are talking about! We are gonna miss you guys!!!!!
AND a sad day for sports journalism overall. This program was one of the best in the biz. I have a hard time listening to almost any other show but these guys were true professionals
Felt this coming for a while, I never saw both of y’all on at the same time 😂 in the last 6 months. Preciate the pod tho, you two gentleman had some great moments.
I watched the first show on Peacock, downloaded the pod on all my platforms and loved what you guys do.Aside from M Smith interrupting people ALL the time 😂, I loved the show and love these guys. They represent journalists well and BLACK MEN even better! Trust, we will find you fellas wherever yall bring the show!! RESPECT! SALUTE!! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
One of the best shows on RU-vid. Listened to Michael for years on WEEI and Celtics/TV. Will continue to follow you all. The best sport talk out there. Michael don't go into some writer's retreat witness protection program!
Great to see Holley's personality more on this show. Remember him from ATH, but it was limited. I saw this coming once they started only doing 2-3 shows a week and stopped with the Women's Wednesday. This show introduced so many amazing guests from all the women analysts to so many others, but got to shout out Vinnie & Dr. Johnson. Will miss this time, but perfectly encapsulate the post-Floyd era. Powers that be trying to capitalize on the movement to okay enough of this DEI stuff. Good luck on your futures.
I didn't realize this show started in 2020. I just started watching regularly this past fall and I noticed less and less new shows per week. Prayers up to Mike and his family. And All the best to everyone involved as you move on to something new. It was a joy to catch this show when I did.
Maaan, I am going to MISS Y’ALL! Long time Michael Smith fan from His and Hers, to Sports Center to Prime to here. I love this show. I got to know and love the chemistry with Holly. I don’t know what happened but it feels like it shouldn’t have happened like this. So suddenly. Y’all did your thing on this last one and the flashbacks were just so funny. It’s a shame man, we had something special with this show. I hope it’s see you later but thank y’all for representing. Thank y’all for being directly ready to address sports and life. Y’all brought JOY to my life.
Thank you guys. I came here for quality commentary on issues beyond sports. I knew I would learn and get a genuine perspective. I look forward to what you all do next.
I've followed you both for the longest time! I remember when Michael Smith got his first gig on ESPN, just as I remember Jemele Hill getting her first gig on Cold Pizza. I was ecstatic when Mike and Jemele got NNL together, which later turned to Sportscenter. I was so, so, so, so, SO proud of you both when you stood together against Trump, and specifically covert racism, even as you both lost your dream job because of it. And because I live in New England, I've watched Michael Holley since before I can even remember. Seeing you both magically come together on this show brought me so much joy that I can't even explain it. As a lover of sports, I often find the tone incredibly frustrating -- the vapid, irrational, often hateful messaging that people so willfully put out there. You wish you could appear on them if only to correct them and speak to the truth of things, and so you became truly cathartic to witness as you so brilliantly dissected sports from a thoughtful angle, not ignoring the racial component but highlighting it. The way I view you both, honestly, first and foremost, is as educators. You may not think you are, but you appear daily on TV and on RU-vid to educate hundreds of thousands of people. I hope that you never forget that, because your voices are so powerful and truthful. I wish you both the very best in whatever you choose to do next! I imagine there's so much more to the story of this show ending, but out of sheer respect for you both I won't even entertain speculation. All I will say is that, sincerely, continue to be awesome! Continue being exactly who you are, because this world needs it! Love you both!
Wow! I’m taken aback! I’m going to miss seeing you guys everyday. Loved seeing you here the years and decades really. I love you guys and hope you go on to bigger and better things.
i’m one of your Detroit viewers and have the utmost respect for your work. It has been a pleasure watching your show and i wish you the best! Please keep your drive and remain authentic, despite the powers that be who continue attempting to limit you! I’m sure we will see you all soon thriving in your next endeavors!
The culture needs people like you two. My dream team of sports people are. Michale Smith, Michael Holley, Bomani Jones, Ryan Clark, Jay Williams and Jemele Hill
Lmao the cancelation gang yea the culture needs more black activists screaming victim thats why everyone you names had their shows canceled and their books still sitting on shelves
Been following these 2 since their Boston journalism days. This is a great podcast. It covers important topics from a unique perspective in the current media landscape. Thank you both for all your work. I can't wait to see what you do next
I've been watching Michael Smith since Numbers never lie. It was a pleasure to get to know Michael Holley. Great show. The next challenge is to go through ownership. Create your own, where no one can decide the show's for you .
Damnn...I'm sad to see this show go. I hope we can see you guys again on another platform, your voices are sorely needed in today's media landscape. Thanks for everything
Thank you for the show, I appreciate your platform and the content you have shared. I hope to see you brothers again in the future. Keep pursuing excellence!!
s/o to you brothers man. Michael Smith been one of my favorite people in sports since I was in high school and I appreciate being introduced to this brother Michael Holley, dude reminds me of my uncle brick
Thanks gentlemen for the show. Have truly enjoyed listening to and watching you all. I wish you continued success. Appreciate you. So sorry to hear about the show being canceled.
I am really going to miss this show. I figured something was up when you guys were no longer on five days a week with original content, but did not expect it to end like this. Thanks for the ride these past few years. Good luck with your continued & future endeavors.
Damn, man!!!! I appreciate the great commentary and content that you good gentlemen provided us for the past 4yrs. You mos def left a blueprint for young (and old) black men to follow.💪🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾✌🏾
I had a feeling this was coming... But the four years were so good. I was a day one Podcast listener and haven't missed a drop after being a His & Hers PODCAST fan. So grateful for the brilliant talents you gave screen time to, people I probably wouldn't have been put on to if it wasn't for BFA. My favourite moment was THAT hour of arguing after the NFL Draft a few years ago. The watch parties were great. Shame it's ending, you guys really were a constant fixture in my Podcast diet. Big salute
Much love too you guys, been watching Mike Smith since #coldpizza with my sister jemele, good luck on you'll next journey #DTW DETROIT METRO AIRPORT LOVE YALL
This is a good thing in my opinion IF you guys continue to do content, both of y’all are talented enough to do content together or by yourselves! Thanks for the good times!
I'm saddened to hear this news. You two are meant to be prominent voices in this space. I trust that you two will reinvent, retool and rebuild a better version of what you've started here. I really love and respect you both for the candor, honesty, transparency and the honor and courage it took to uncover and discuss the often uncomfortable. We will see and hear you both again. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Peace gents and salute for a superlative job. Well done and kudos. Be safe and be well.
Fellas, I had to stop my viewing half way thru. I started to get emotional before the emotional segment. All I can say is can't wait to see you guys again. Hopefully together. I'm proud of the way you guys represent us. We appreciate you.
Gonna miss y’all brothas on Brother From Another, man. Enjoyed this show so much. Damn, and the day after Juneteenth too... Wish y’all the best going forward and hope to see ya both soon
The writing was on the wall when Mike Smith would rarely be on here, but these 2 brothers stood ten toes down every single time and represented black culture with humor, style, and class every chance they got. 2 great representations of our people. And they ALWAYS made sure to prop up other Black Sports Journalists. I really hope to see Mike Smith on TV soon
What a great show!! Two Intellectual Brothers Keep it Real! Keeping it Black!! A show for Us! I hope they can keep it going on another Platform!! Much Respect!!
Appreciate the show and times, fellas. Hopefully there's more from both of you moving forward. Michael Smith, I truly feel you are an underrated gem in the sports world. You're one of the two reasons I started genuinely WATCHING sports talk shows, because Numbers Never Lie was so clever and y'all always came with stuff that was incredibly relevant with the Culture. Followed you every step of the way since then. I wish you well, brother. I look forward to seeing what you do next.
Sorry to see you brothers go. I've been a fan since the Dale and Holley show on Weei and when Dale left and you and Mike Smith did the show that week, it was so refreshing to hear sports from 2 people I could relate to.
So sad to see this but thanks so much for four great years. I've been watching from New Zealand with almost no knowledge or interest in some American sports you discuss but your content was so thought-provoking and entertaining. Really going to miss you and hope you go on to even better things.
watched the first show on Peacock, downloaded the pod on all my platforms and loved what you guys do.Aside from M Smith interrupting people ALL the time 😂, I loved the show and love these guys. They represent journalists well and BLACK MEN even better! Trust, we will find you fellas wherever yall bring the show!! RESPECT! SALUTE!! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Thank you guys for the effort and time it went into creating this space. I have always tuned in to hear you guy’s thoughts on a plethora of topics. I know what’s coming next for you both will leave this in the dust. Cheers to the last 4 years.
I could not agree more. I am so sadden by this. I watch them everyday for my Sports news. I love how they discuss everything in the world and explore all view points.
