So many people, like me loved the Michael Stanley Band. We weren't from the midwest - we were on the coasts. But we loved the realness and the sound and waited for the next hit singles. Sadly, they never got the support from the record companies and promoters that they deserved. So, we bought the albums and wore them out. Great band, great singer and they'll be so missed.
Oh boy... now I feel even sadder at the loss of Michael Stanley. Hugely underrated performer, but never under appreciated. May his soul rest quietly in that better place.
Oh how this man is missed!!!! When we moved to California, I could not believe that the didn't know him or play him on the radio. One of the best things of moving back here was hearing him on the radio & then seeing him on PM Magazine every night, on top of all of his beautiful music & then Radio show. Gone but NEVER forgotten!!! Thank you for everything Michael!!!
In my Opinion Rosewood Bitters is one of the greatest Songs ever! I have been a big Fan of the wonderful Michael Stanley and his great Band for the last 30 Years and that will never change😍😊
Always loved him. Is there anybody he didn’t open for back in the day? Saw him more times than I can count. I think he played at the Coliseum more than any artist. Most recently saw him at Tangier’s. Great DJ too. Love you and your band all members past and present.
Who are the guys playing with MS for this? Bob Palander on keys? What's the violinists name? These performances showcase the singer/songwriter aspect of the King of Cleveland. Still can't get over it.
yes, Bob Pelander on keys and Ed Caner on Violin....watching again today..... especially came on YT to hear Michael's song, so apropos for today being , (12/31/21)...."Another New Year's Eve" which he wrote with Bob Pelander... this video, you should watch if you haven't before, he performed with CLE's CYO..Contemporary Youth Orchestra... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DY0nQmkkpAo.html ... such a beautiful song....and so sad knowing he's not here to sing Another New Year's Eve.... #MichaelStanleyStillInOurHearts
Looks like that was a pretty cool show. Would like to see Michael do that type of thing again. Always connected with his voice. Just love it. BTW, where's "the hall"?
R & R Hall Of Fame. In the winter of 1997, Michael Stanley performed acoustic versions of his best loved songs for a select gathering at 'the hall'. Accompanied for much of the set by Bob Pelander on piano and Ed Caner on violin the night showcased the depth and emotion of Stanley's songwriting, the stories behind many of the songs, the exuberance of the trios performance, and a Q & A session with the audience.
The release is controlled by his daughters and it’s never available when you check the website. Very frustrating and disappointing. If anyone has any additional info please let his fans know
