You need to watch the Amy Grant concert from 1983 with Michael and Shane Keister on keys. I believe Dan Huff was playing lead guitar. Wow! Their performance of Michael's Where Do You Hide Your Heart is EPIC! Not to mention their performance of Rich Mullins Sing Your Praise to the Lord. That was a GREAT concert too. I was pretty much introduced to contemporary Christian music with Amy's Age to Age album. It's iconic. Amy and Michael put Christian contemporary music on the map in the 80s. Two pioneers.
Wayne Kirkpatrick is Michael greatest co-writer of his music his entire career. Best lyricist. Wayne singing Amy's part - and playing backup/rhythm guitar - on the duet for Restless Heart.
I'm a keyboard player, Michael inspired me in the mid 80's, and I can't tell you how many times I played "air keyboard" to this this concert in my parents basement!

You've made a little mistake in your list. Smitty does not sing "Love In The Light" at 18:28. He performs the interlude that comes just before that song, called "First Light". Then at 21:15, he goes straight into "End Of The Book" (from Michael W. Smith 2). Just thought I'd clear that up for you. God bless :)
36 yrs ago!!! Wow! So most of these guys are well into their mid 60's now! Blimey! And I remember being a 16 yr old in Melbourne, Aus at one of his concerts, embarrassingly yelling out "I love you Michael" just before he sang friends and it was so quiet everyone heard and he waved to me! :) How can time fly so quickly!!!
The best it's Michael w smith...i love it's song... this first show and amazing ... perfect performance ... for me the best play guitar Cris Rodriguez...I belive a lot
Why did we not know about Wayne? All we ever heard about in Wenham, Massachusetts was Michal Micheal , Micheal. . And he never performed at Gordon College just: Randy Stonhill, Petra, John Fischer, Micheal Card and others. . . .
Chris Rodriguez on lead guitar not too shabby himself... and nice vocal. Saw him with Michael the last time in 2000 in Ohio. Did pretty good job on acoustic version of Missing Person.
Does anyone know who the sax player was this concery? He amazed me with his control on every instument he played. I have never heard anyone do flat out ripping licks while having the musical finesse of an oboist. But that whole band was on fire for this.
Did they run some effects through Michael's mic at certain parts on some of these songs? It's almost like they layered his vocals at parts of Restless Heart.
Who is the Smitty band member with the #34 Earl Campbell jersey? LUV YA BLUE! He's a solid drummer. I wish they played this song more at his concerts. Smitty himself looks like and sorta sounds like a young Kenny Loggins! #oilers
