Michaels Grab Bags | 9/13/21 | Got The Heaviest Boxes They Had 

I don't know what it is about Melissa's videos, but I just love watching them. Her face is so expressive, and she makes me laugh.

Colleges usually have graduations in May and December, so even the 2021 graduation cap things will still be useful this year. Not as many graduates in December as May, but it still happens (I graduated in Dec of 03).

Melissa, when I lived in a children’s home, I loved getting new school supplies like the other kids. I hope the folks at the Ark can give your kits to individuals. A nice little gift for someone!

List those planners on market place. You could make many people Happy Planners! I was a December grad 2x, so there is still a market for grad items that say 2021. So fun. I have never found a Michael's grab bag, but I can live vicariously through you!

U could take all the prettiest flower picks n the extra greenery and put a nice bunch in each of the small galvanized pots n use em as decor either inside or outside. U could put one on each side of ur door or somethin....I would kill for one of those planners lol

The frisbee's would make great paper plate holders for a picnic.

Some of the graduation cap decorations can even be framed or on the wall like inspirational quotes ...if they stick that is

The wax melts can be used as air fresheners for your vehicle too. No warmer needed. Just use the mason jar salt and pepper shakers found at the dollar stores, place a few cubes in, screw the lid back on and ta dahhhh diy car air freshener. 😊

Those class of 2021 could be used for those students that were making scrapbooks of their memories 😊

You are so sweet to spend your time and money to get those boxes from Michaels, then donate most of it to other people. Hope you make a little money back with the items you decide to sell. I wish I lived closer to you, I can teach you some easy crafting with some of the things you got. You can take some of those faux florals and make a bouquet, then put it in one of those tin buckets. Some of those little canvases would be great to donate to a school's art teacher or some kind of after school program or even a senior center. Really enjoy all your videos, thanks for sharing. 😊

Just as an aside, I knew a couple of people who also received a ton of graduation or 2021 stuff in their grab bags, or they purchased it from the clearance table. Especially the bows, they are using them to take pictures, so they can remember the year. Doesn't really work for the "class of " part, but for just the bows with the year, it makes a cute picture. My neighbor actually used a 2021 bow to take a picture of her lemon tree and her guava tree, so that she can document their yearly growth.

Don't worry about what you look like girl. Most days I do not even bother putting on makeup, because like you said, real life :). We got you girl. Loved this video, I love Michaels grab bags. Thank you for being so kind to donate the stuff you do not use. That makes people so happy that sometimes can not get things like that. And you are beautiful no matter what you look like on busy days :). I like to call it a hot mess lol.

So I used to work at that Michael’s as a late night stocking person. It’s super crazy at that store tbh

Not only can u donate or give to teachers but nursing homes appreciate things as well. Especially things for crafts and that can be given out as bingo winning gifts. Like pens, coloring books, stuff animal's etc

Lots of good things in the first box! Useful and pretty! The larger cans would be great little trash cans for bedrooms or bathrooms!

With the planners, I buy them on sale and just white out the dates and put my own, that way I can use them for the time I need

U are correct...I WOULD love SO many of those things, especially the small wooden thinsg, which look like a lot of earring options but as a crafter I could do tons of things with them! Ur so lucky cuz the grab bags I managed to get were mostly planners n flowers. Apparently, all of the bags with the types of items u received were already gone! 😞 Not to mention...u got boxes which had approximately 3x the amount of items I rec'd in each of my bags. Hopefully next time I can make it there earlier and get more variety of items cuz I also donate a lot of items, especially to teachers! Those school boxes, with school supplies, would be excellent to give to teachers, for kids in their classes who may be low-income n cannot afford all the supplies they need. Paco now thinks boxes contain treats. He kept looking so hopeful. Those wooden shapes would make super Christmas decorations paint red and green, glue on some glitter or sequins. One year I collected milkweed pods. Dried them, painted inside and out. Then decorated them with sequins, glitter, colorful beads..flowers, tiny animals etc. They were beautiful. I even sold some..

I loved the first box best, all those flowers and the cabbage box planters. Planners are very nice also. Someone is going to get some nice items.

Youcould put the flowers in ne of the zinc buckets as a display. The wooden shapes can be painted and glittered to make Christmas garlands. wow the mandelas and planners, wish I lived closer cause I'd love to shop Michaels. You are so inspirational and good hearted. Love to you and your family.

Sometimes tons of multiples are really great. A couple of years ago I bought a absolute ton of 10¢ hard plastic pencil cases both to store craft supplies & donate. I actually asked my chiropractor if their teacher wanted them & they were nice enough to call & remind me to bring them in. Good thing too. I had enough for an entire class & then a lot. Plus containers for craft things too. Oh & I bought 10¢ fiskars school scissors with most ending up being donated too. The original plan was to sell them but they didn't sell so they got donated. Which we both know that's what was going to happen anyway. I actually tried to sell them though. I've gotten to the point that when it comes to buying cheap clearance that I should keep donating in mind. I get the high from finding more clearance, people end up with needed things & I don't have quite as much crap cluttering up everywhere. Or that was the theory anyway.

The tins would be great for makeup brushes and sponges, the larger one a makeup vanity trashcan. Would look cute in a rustic/western decor theme
