Honestly, why do people always argue who's better, Graves or Danzig? They both both have different sounds so there's really no comparison between the two and they are both are good in their own way
All honesty because jerry wanted to keep the misfits name, had he changed it and started something entirely new with graves it would have been a different story as far as comparison. Because graves dove into something "danzig created" he's subjected to forever and always be compared to danzig. If they had a different name, graves would earn the respect he well deserved. I love both eras of misfits but nothing beats a classic original sound. Just two completely different bands under the same name
It's about taste. I like them both. I like glenn for his solo stuff and graves for all his misfits stuff. Wouldn't want to choose one over the other since it's pointless comparing such different approaches to singing. Still my misfits vocalist of choice would be graves despite my favourite misfits song being last caress.
@jkcamperspecial THANK YOU!! After they kicked out Danzig, they found a replacement by the name of Mike graves. He proved just as good as the original. But then Jerry Only's massive fucking ego kicked out Graves. And that's why I kinda hate the new misfits :D
Yeah Alex Story's brutal vocals match better with the band's heavy sound. Michale Graves is a great Horror Punk vocalist tho and I usually prefer him over Alex, but Gorgeous Frankenstein/Doyle is just made for Alex Story! :D But damn, I'd give everything for a Misfits reunion with Graves!
@@MrWarriorssjBR no, that'd be Landon Blood. Alex Story sounds nothing like the assclown that made Gorgeous Frankenstein almost unlistenable. Fun fact- landon killed himself the day after an encounter with Alex. Coincidence? I hope not.
Much as I like Mikes vocals, they just don't fit with Gorgeous Frankenstein. I mean, it'd be cool seeing him and Doyle in the same group again, but it just wouldn't fit.
I love Michale, I love Danzig. But the singer on the official version of Gorgeous Frankenstein (Argyle ain't it?) Is a better vocal sound for this song's lyrics. I don't think the lyrics and sound of doyle's band suit graves's vocals.
@skunkobilly23 Your age is showing. Michel graves sounds nothing like the guy from that band, more over, the Misfits lineup with Michel graves started BEFORE my chemical romance made any albums. Possibly before the guy was old enough to even start a band of his own, but I never listened to them so I don't know much about them (My chemical romance) The misfits had a large fan base with Michel, and it has all but dropped out entirely at this point.
As far as I'm aware, before recording the album with Landon Blood on vocals there existed 2 demo versions. One featuring Graves on vocals, and one actually featuring Doyle on vocals. I don't think either version were ever meant to be heard publicly, but there a VERY tiny amount of copies out there.
hmmm...i digg misfits fucking much and all the members what ahve been in it,and i dont give a shit whos bedder,graves,danzig or only all good,but orginal singer is bedder in this song
